Faye M- Nervous

The title of my selected image is ‘Nervous’ because the subject was wringing their hands in an anxious and nervous manner. It was taken about two weeks ago, in the beginning of September at my family reunion. It was taken with my Canon Rebel t6. I edited it mostly with the color Efex filter with multiple layers of low key, a slight blur vignette and the detail extractor.  Also did a layer of overlay where I dozed and burned the highlights and shadows to give a subtly more dramatic contrast. I wish that the hand on the left was more detailed but I am otherwise content with this picture. A word to the wise, humans, I think, are best captured when as candid as possible, that’s the easiest way to get the most emotion, even in something as simple as hands wringing together.

I love this image so much! The focus being concentrated to the hands is really awesome and I like how they are the main subject of the image. I think the definition of the hands in this picture is very nicely done. I also really love the contrast in the lighter areas from the darker areas. Overall this image is amazing. Nice work!

I love how the hands are centered in this picture. The detail on them is very nice too. I like how the title conveys what is happening in the picture. I also like how the coloring of the image is made to look slightly older, the colors duller. I don't know if you did that on purpose but it looks good! This is a great picture, good job!!

I think this picture came out great! I love the detail captured in this photo and I think the tones in the skin, the shadows, highlight and midtones look saturated but still realistic. I even like the freckles that seem to be on the hand and show different, natural skin tone colors. I also think the position of the hands look natural, soft and sweet and I love that! Overall, beautiful picture and great job!

I LOVE this photo and I can't tell why. This may be one of my favorite candid photos I've see on this website. The colors just pop out to me even though they aren't vibrant or loud. I just love the intensity they bring to the photo and I can't say anything else, but that I really like the photo. Great job!

Hey Faye! B)
This photo is epic!! I love the detailing and the colors that are in this picture. The contrast of the skin tone and the blue/black background is beautiful. I really love that you can see just from this persons hands that they have lived a long life, each crease and wrinkle telling their story. Love it!!!

This photo is amazing! It has so much texture in the wrinkles of the hands. Also it contrasts very well with the blue clothing in the background. I will admit that the image when blown up is a little out of focus and could have been brought in more, but overall this is very creative and unique.

I really like this photo. I like how it shows action with the hands and it portrays a lot of emotion. I like how it tells a story. The lighting and shadowing look good. I wouldn't change anything.

This is a very well made photo. The contrast of the whole image is well put together. It's simple but portrays a lot of meaning behind it. This becomes especially apparent when made aware of the title of the image. Overall it really is an amazing picture. Good job!
