Robert C- Falling

This is a picture of my friend Kenny. I took this on top of a parking deck and then I Flipped it and made it black and white. I also cropped it so that it gives you a sense that he is falling. Overall it turned out very good!

John Michael A - Untitled

I took this photo at a quarry in Pelham. I found this blue, rusted ladder on one of the dive platforms. I was drawn in by the colors of the rust and metal, and the the angle of the shot was perfect. I edited this photo in Photoshop CS5.1, sharpening the contrast and enhancing the vibrance. I then used HDR toning to bring out the detail and color.

Shelby A- Olive

The title of this picture is Olive. This picture was taken a couple of weeks ago for the black and white assignment and I took it with my Cannon EOS. I edited it by making it back and white and I brightened up the photo. Over all I like how it turned out.

IsaacE- Manual HDR

The title of this picture is Manual HDR. This picture was taken for the HDR assignment. The location is on some trails behind my neighborhood. What makes this picture special was that instead of using Photomatix or Photoshop’s HDR function, I combined the images by hand in Photoshop using layer masks to get the effects that I wanted. I actually preferred doing the HDR that way, because I couldn’t get the result that I was wanting by using the automatic programs. Overall, I like this picture, and would not change anything.

Anna Kathryn D- Melting Snow

I took this picture the day after it snowed around 9:30 A.M. It was still muggy outside from the rain and snow and i like how pictures turn out in this type of weather. I used my Canon Rebel T5 with my 50mm lens. ISO was set on 200 and my camera was on aperture priority mode. I like how this picture turned out and i did not edit it.

Hannah S- Camera Man

Rebecca G- View from Front Porch

I took this picture from my front porch for the HDR assignment. I took it with my digital Nikon camera. I edited it by adjusting the brightness, contrast, shadows and hue and saturation. I added the HDR effect and dodged and burned to add highlights to certain parts of the picture. I wish that there had been more light to take the picture with.

Ashley G- Abstract Plate

This photo is called Abstract Plate. All of the objects in this composite were taken at my grandparents’ house. They were taken with my Canon Rebel t3. When I was editing this photo, I added a lot of filters and different colored objects to make the filters added look cooler. The colors also added a more spacey feel to the photo. This could be better if the color added to the river was more concise.

Meredith V- Metal and Water

The image is titled “Water and Metal”. This is a composite I made of a metal gear and a picture of a stream. I took the picture of the metal in my driveway because we have an old basketball goal. The picture of the water is from Moss Rock. I took these photos several weeks ago. I edited the two images separately and then I combined them. I like how the water ended up giving the picture a glossed over look.

Robert C- AK

This is a picture of my friend AK that I took downtown. We were downtown at regions field and were taking pictures. I like the way it turned out. I like how it really focuses on her eye but then the rest of her is still noticeable. I wouldn’t change anything.

Ben F- Sloss

The title of this image is Sloss. I took this picture obviously at Sloss Furnace close to the evening near sunset. I sharpened the image using the smart sharpen tool. I then added a picture of a sunset behind the original image of Sloss and blended it in using the overlay option. This image could be better if the color contrast was better and the blending was better.

Allison S- Untitled

I took this photo for the Mood Assignment last semester with my Canon SL1. I didn’t do much to edit this except touch up her skin and adjust the brightness and contrast. This is one of my favorite photos I have ever taken and I wouldn’t change anything about it.

There is also another picture of the lake that was taken for the reflections assignment. I put these images together for the composite assignment. It was taken with my Canon Powershot. I really like this picture and I like the way the shadows are casted.

Matthew E- Graffiti

This is a photo of graffiti i found while looking for nature shots for the HDR assignment. I really like the photo because it shows nature and humans in balance with one other. I edited this photo by added together three photos with different exposures. Then i put it into photoshop where a tweaked   it.
