Sasha C- Hot-July

Hot-July, this picture was taken in Kiev, Ukraine, it was taken in July during the day. It was taken with a Nikon D3200, the way I edited it is by bringing up the Hue/saturation and the brightness. It would look more pleasing if there was nothing in front of the building

Kaitlyn R-The Candle

The title of the Image is The Candle. There are two parts to the image, both the candle and the smoke were taken in the bathroom, around sometime in October. The pictures were taken with a canon camera. The first thing I did when editing was change the color of the candle to a brown look and then change the brightness and exposure of it. Then I had added the second image of the smoke over the image and changed the overlay so it would blend better within the candle and the background. Lastly, I used Nik Collection and added a film-like filter to the image which had added a border to it as well. I think it could have possibly been better if I had used a different dust/scratch effect of the image, also changing/editing the frame of the image where it is fully black/ removing the orange part from the side.

Linley W- Bubble Land.jpg

This picture is titled Bubble Land. I used this picture for the Circles assignment. I took this picture at Bluff Park Elementary a few weeks ago for this assignment. I took this picture with my Nixon camera. I actually photographed bubbles for this assignment. In one of the bubbles, I had gotten the people on the tornado thing in the actual bubble. I then combined that photo with more pictures of bubbles and added the water texture on top of that. I sharpened up the bubbles and made the overall picture cooler. I also added the white bubbles using the selection tool and the stroke tool. This picture could have been better if the bubbles were more in focus. Overall, I am very happy with this picture. It is my favorite so far.

Abigail P - Rainy Days

The title of this image is Rainy Days. It was taken in August while I was in Tuscaloosa at my sister’s apartment. I took the picture in the afternoon while it was raining outside using my iPhone SE. When I edited the picture, I made the picture black and white and I decreased the light to make the picture darker and to show the contrast between the lighter and darker colors. I also cropped and rotated the picture to make it even since I took the picture at somewhat of an angle. I wish I could have leveled the camera better with the building when I took the picture because it still looks a little crooked to me. Other than that I really liked how the picture turned out!

Clay K- Barn

The title of the image is Barn.  It was taken towards the beginning in school at my grandma’s farm. The image was taken with a Nikon D5000. I added many nik collection filters and then changed the hue and brited the moss on the barn. I wish the sky was different and more smooth.

Diana H - Horse

I took this photo of my dad's friend in his yard.He had over 20 horses. It was so fun seeing and meeting them.It was taken around 4 PM.I took this photo with my Iphone 12 peo max.I really love how the horse was so close to the camera I think that is what makes the photo beautiful.I edited this photo by lighten up a little bit and used the erasing tool to remove some stuff.I think it could be better if the other horse in the background isn't showing. This horse his name Moe:)

Jack J- John 14:27

This image is titled “John 14:27” because of the verse: “Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid.”

This was taken at Lakeview Church in Pelham on November 6th with my Canon Rebel T3. I edited this image by clone stamping a house out of the background and a boat on the shore. I also edited the brightness and contrast and made the image more orange and ethereal. I really wanted this image to show the might of Christ Consciousness and it's pervading aspect in an enlightened state while still showing faith as an aspect of identity.

Emma J- Vanderbilt

The title of this image is “Vanderbilt”. It is called that because it was taken on the Vanderbilt University campus when I was taking a campus tour there. It was taken on November 5th of 2021 and it was taken with a Canon Powershot. I edited it by simply adjusting the brightness and contrast of the image using photoshop as well as adding a warmth photo filter to it. It could be a better image if the sky wasn't so over exposed and if the subjects were centered in the image.

Drew B- The Beyond

I named this image the beyond. I took this in Mr. Rigsby's studio. I took this photo with my nikon D5600. I played around with the colors a lot during the editing process.

Amira A- Fall Leaves

The title of this image is Fall Leave. I gave it this name because I took it fall time. I took this image in the garden of my home. I took this image on  October 17, 2021 at 4:00 pm. I took this image with my Nikon 3500. To edit this image I use the light tool.

Mitchell C - Abby

The name of this portrait is Abby, after the model. I was a part of a group photoshoot, and this is one of my individual portrait shots. It was around 3 in the afternoon in a wooded area in the backyard of my friend's house. I was nervous to shoot in such harsh lighting, but I found a shaded area and I think that the image turned out very nicely. Actually, looking at it right now, I don’t have anything that I would change, but any criticism is appreciated!

Sophia C- Caterpillar Leaf

The title of this image is Caterpillar Leaf. It was taken with my Nikon D3500. I took it in my front yard of the bushes. This was taken for the leaves assignment. I edited by brightening the image and increasing the vibrance and saturation. I used the dodge tool to lighten the veins of the leaves and then used the paint tool to add more color and depth to the dead parts of the leaf. I think it could have been better if I took the picture from further away and added more contrast to the image.

Regan F- Let Loose

The title of this image is Let Loose. I took this picture a couple weeks ago in my backyard with my canon camera. I took this picture originally for the site image assignment but I really like the way it turned out. I edited the picture with small factors like light enhancements, and some saturation adjustments. I wish the image was a little more steady but at the same time I like the blur in the picture because I feel like it adds to the story of the picture.
