Lesly M - Green

I edited this image by reflecting a pretty simple image and then I edited it with color balance making it green instead of rusty metal. The reflecting gave it a cool edit it looks more like a transformer spaceship to me lol. But yeah that’s just a observation that I had when looking at the image. I also darkened the image. I saturated the colors making it look more vibrant. I liked working with metals because the more you mess with it the cooler it looks to me.

Madelyn F- Leaves

I titled this picture leaves. I took it at Oak Mountain State Park when all of the leaves were still changing colors. I took it with my Nikon D7000 and edited by making the colors pop a little more along with brightening the overall image.

Nicole T - Light

The title of this image is Light. It was taken for the High-Key Low-Key Assignment and it was taken on the patio at Beef O’Brady’s in Helena with a Canon Powershot. I edited it by making it black and white and adjusting the contrast and brightness. I could be better if there was less grain at the fingertips.

Lesly M- Reflect

I took this picture during the fall. I edited by adding some saturation and darkness to the original image. Then I took the picture to Nik Collection filters and added this sunny looking filter. Although, I did leave some of the image unedited from the filter that I applied. It adds a unique look to the image, so I kept it that way. If I were to make this image better I would have taken Rigsby’s advise to put leafs around the mirror so that it look like a reflective hole.

Olivia H- Brother

I took this picture of my brother over the thanksgiving break with my cannon camera. To edit this I darkened the background and sharpened his face. I also brightened his eye and darkened his freckles so they pop out more. I darkened the photo and them I bumped up the contrast a bit. If I could change anything I would want his eye to be open a bit more.

Raven H ~ Blood Splatter

This image is titled Blood Splatter because of the deep red colored paint on the sink and wall. I took this picture while on the Earthborn field trip this year. I really love the sinister feel of the image after adjusting the colors and contrast and adding a Nik Collection filter. This image would be better if the clutter on the left side could be edited out and if the red was more bold.

Ryan F- Light Waves

This picture is called “Light Waves” because of the different colors of light. I took it a month or two ago in Hoover, Al at night. I edited it by using hue layer to change the color of the light to how I preferred it.

Taylor D- Drain

This is a drain looking thing Im not sure what it is but it looked cool for the architecture assignment. This was at the Finley center around a couple weeks ago. I brightened and contrasted it so the details can come up more and added exposure to it along with making it black and white.

Julia M- Thoughts

This picture is called “Thoughts”. It is a picture of my sweet old man dog, Barney, enjoying a nice look out the window. I called this photo thoughts because it looks like he is really thinking about something wonderful, in all reality he probably saw a leaf but I enjoy the imagination. I took this photo just the other day with my iPhone. I edited it by blurring the background just a tad and giving him some interesting coloring with the Analog filters. He is general more brown and black so I tried to accentuate that with the filter. The only thing I wish was better is if a got a more direct angle in his face to show more emotion.

Dayne M- Small World

I titled the image “Small World” because it is a panorama that I made look like its own little world. I took it two weeks ago in my neighborhood with my Nikon D5500. I edited the image by cloning any blemishes in the image and changing the hue and saturation a bit. It could be better if the sky wasn’t so packed with clouds and if the circle in the middle was not filled with shadows. Other than that, I like the image and the way it turned out.

Asil H- Leaves

I titled this image as leaves. I took this picture couple of weeks ago in my backyard with my Nikon D3200. I edited this picture by cropping it and playing around with the filters

Alyssa R- Emma

This image is titled “Emma” because it is of my sister Emma, we were in the house on a Saturday afternoon and we played around with paint. I increased the saturation a little bit and darkened it but I now realize how uneven it is. It slowly fades to lighter and I did also add some grain. I took this with my Canon Rebel T6.
