Tyler L- Cam0

I titled this photo cam0.  I took this photo a couple weeks ago at Moss Rock. I edited this for our composite assignment. I took this photo with my Nikon D3300. I edited by putting a picture of trees and woods and putting on my dog with a reduced opacity on the trees and brush. It could be better if I used clouds or a storm that faded into my dog instead of trees.

Cullen S- Grey Snow

I took this picture over that week we basically had off for snow and such. I thought I wouldn’t be able to see snow like this again in Alabama for a while at least until after I leave for college. I thought this picture would look a whole lot more interesting if the snow did not look as white or well stereotypical as snow normally does appear so I chose to make it grey and dark with no color and a deep contrast.

Landon H- Light Through Dryer

The title of this image is “Light Through Dryer”, it’s pretty self explanatory. I took both photos in my house and my backyard. It was taken with my Canon Sl1. I edited this photo by masking off certain parts and then changing the contrast and vibrance. It would be better if it weren’t coming through a dryer and if I cleaned up the lights a bit more.

Maddy F- Snake River

I took this photo at the snake River in Wyoming in November. I really like the soft colors in the sky and on the mountains. I feel like my exposure is a little bright, but I feel like my picture has a good composition and depth of field.

Ryan F- Playground

This picture is titled “Playground.” It was taken at South Shades Crest Elementary school a couple weeks ago with my Canon Eos Rebel T5i. I edited it by combining  something like 48 images to make the overall panorama, then some sharpening Gand color enhancements. It could be better if it was a little more interesting.

Taylor D- Snow Day

This was taken during the snow day. I think this is more of a high exposure picture. I took this with my Nikon 5200 and played with the Nik collection to make it more diffined. Along with more contrast.

Julia M- "Hey you look funny!"

This picture is called “Hey you look funny!”. It was taken over the summer when my boyfriend and I went to the zoo and I just fell in love with this parakeet in the place where you can feed them. I took it with my Nikon D80 and lots of patience. I edited it by flipping the picture and drawing a skeleton of the parakeet over its reflected counterpart. After that I brought the color back though the bird to really bring out the skeleton and colors. Next I got rid of the excess bird by using a lot of the stamp tool. Last but not least I merged it all together and but some finishing touch ups and became really happy with the outcome. This is the second bird that is going to be apart of my animal skeleton reflections. I hope to branch out to more mammals and really get fun with it.

Heath M- Split

The title of this image is called “Split.” In this composite image the legs were taken downtown during another photo assignment and the background image was taken in the preserve at around sunset during the spring. This picture was taken with my Canon EOS 40D. I edited this picture by using the composite, straightening, adjusting, and cropping tools. I believe that this picture could be better if the sections of the legs that I cut out and moved where farther apart and possibly smaller

Dayne M- King Kong Attacks

I took this image of the building in New York and then decided to create a composite. I borrowed the explosions, gorilla, and plane in order to make my own version of King Kong. I took is with my Nikon D5500 and then edited all the pieces together in photoshop. In order to make the images look as natural as I could, I increased and decreased their sizes, masked out portions I didn’t want to use, and then changed the colors to make the black and white of the image pop more. It could be better if I was able to find a better image of a gorilla so that its foot did not look so messed up. Other than that, I’m pretty happy with how it turned out.

Cameron S- Flower Cathedral

This photo is called ‘Flower Cathedral’.This was taken In France over the summer with my NikonD5300. I changed the contrast and put it in black and white. I took the flowers from another picture and put them in the windows at the bottom and also in the sky. I think it could be better if the flowers at the bottom matched the ones in the sky a little more but overall this is my favorite composite I’ve made.

Grant S. - Exposure

This photo is titled “Exposure”. I titled it this because I used a double exposure edit on the picture. I took this picture a week ago. This photo could be better if I had edited it a little more.

Brandon H- “La Pelle Du Vide”

This picture is titled after a French saying that means “the call of the void.” It refers to that unexplainable urge to jump from high places that lasts for just a split second. I took this picture 100 feet over the Cahaba on some really cool tracks. I like this picture a lot because of the color pallet the rust has to offer. I edited this by taking my friend will out of focus so that the main focus of the image is on the rust. I edited it by dulling the colors around the metal using a black and white filter with a low opacity.

Cullen S- Leaves

This picture I took with a Canon actually which I’ve never used before. It was one of Rigsby’s cameras and someone had set it to manual focus and had to spend at least 20 minutes trying to turn auto focus on because I’d have never used a canon before. I titled this picture Leaves the wall and I honestly cannot remember why. They aren’t on a wall or near a wall but whatever I am just gonna let it be. I went to photoshop and took out some branches that were not needed and then changed it over to photoshop where I ended up going with a pinkish hue covering over these red leaves. I gave it my signature faded ish look and then finished back up in photoshop.

Julia M.- Bubbly

This picture is called “Bubbly”. It was taken with my Nikon D80 at the Tennessee aquarium. The original picture consisted of a leaf floating onto of water but it was captured underneath so you could see the bubbles underneath it. I edited it by reflecting the image, adding bubbles to connect the leaves and some filters to kinda bring it all together. I think this picture could have been better if I managed to blend together the bubbles better.

Olivia H. - Snow

I took this picture on the snow day and I took it with my cannon camera. It is a picture of my dog, Bear.  To edit I sharpened the image and I darkened the dog and lightened the snow to make it pop more. I used the healing brush to fix a big stop with no snow. I brightened to dogs eyes.

Raven H ~ Rugged Rose

This image is titled Rugged Rose. I took this image on the field trip to earth born pottery. The only editing I did was to sharpen the curves in the stamp and scratches on the wooden table. I really love this picture because of the detail and earthy feel.I think it would’ve been better if the details ere even sharper and the table wasn’t as blue toned.

Taylor D- Reflection

I titled this Reflection because of the reflection of the trees in the pond. I took this the of the semester for another assignment and was in my iMovie assignment too. For this image all I did was turn the brightness up and the contrast along with playing with the levels and exposure until it looked right to me. It could’ve been better if I had took it from a different angle.
