Matthew E- Nature

I took this photo in my backyard when i was going to take some photos of some trees when i stumbled on these birds. I took a couple of photos before they flew away. I edited this photo by added contrast and boosting the vibrance. I really like how the background is in out of focus so it helps you focus moire on the birds.

Meredith V- Carrie

I took this photo of my friend Katherine for the movie assignment. I chose the movie Carrie and we used Ketchup to represent blood. This was supposed to capture the scene at the prom from the movie. I edited this picture by increasing the brightness, making her paler. I also darkened the background and made the ketchup slightly darker. The contrast was boosted as well. I wish the “blood” looked more realistic.

Robert C - Moss Rock

This is a picture of my friend Kara I took this at Moss Rock last friday. This was one of the first pictures we took and also one of my favorites. Overall this picture turned out very well. I got the inspiration from an Instagaramer i follow that is currently on  a road trip around America.

Shelby A- Yellow Flower

The title of this picture is Yellow Flower. I took this picture with my iPhone a couple weeks ago. I edited it by putting a black and white layer on it and then just coloring in the flower then I brought back some color in the background.  Over all I enjoy this picture.

John Michael A - Fat Albert

The photo I selected is titled Fat Albert. I took this photo two weeks ago with my Canon T3i at the Blue Angels 100th Anniversary Air Show in Pensacola Florida. The plane is a c130 nicknamed “Fat Albert”. I edited it sightly and cropped in on the plane.

Hannah S- Buddha

This image is titled Buddha. I took this at the botanical gardens last week. I sharpened it and raised the hue and saturation levels. I also darkened everything but the sun and the statue to bring emphasis to the statue. Overall I’m very pleased with this picture.

Cori J - Flower Thing?

I took this picture in the courtyard for the Earth Assignment. I took it with one of Mr. Rigsby’s cameras. I edited it by darkening it a bit to make some details stand out more. I also bumped up the contrast to give the “plant” more color. I would like it better if every piece of the flower thing was in focus. I tried so had to get it like that but the wind nor the flower were cooperating with me. I really love the way this picture turned out though.

Ashley G- Underwater Flower

This photo is called Underwater Flower. I took the flowers at my grandmother’s house and the lamp was from my house. It was taken during the middle of the day. I took this photo with Canon Rebel t3. When I was editing this photo, I used a lot of filters and layers to change the colors. This photo might have been better if some of the green in the photo wasn’t there.

Rebecca G- Brick Wall

I took this picture downtown on Morris Avenue for the 3rd choice assignment. I took it with my digital Nikon camera. I edited it by adjusting the brightness, hue and saturation, color balance and vibrance. I also added a gray layer and did some dodging and burning to add more contrast to the picture. I wish that the picture had more color.
