Allison S. Photoblog #5

I took this photo with my Canon SL1 for the metal project. It was taken in downtown Birmingham a couple weeks ago at about 3 in the afternoon. I really like how this photo turned out and I wouldn’t change it.

I like this picture because of how the concept doesn't necessarily look perfect. I looks like it had just rained when you took this. I like how the bars all are worn out with rust and they are all bent apart from each other. The caution tape sets the photo apart from any other as well in my opinion. Great job, it's really nice!

I like how both the gate and wadded up tape are in focus on the picture it really gives the picture more of a mysterious feel. I think the colors in the photo bring each other out, the yellow from the tape and the orange-brown rusty metal complement each other. This photo tells a story of something happened that had to be taped up with yellow caution tape and it all got thrown away and tossed about and this wad got stuck, and to take a picture of this really shows the detail around us we don’t really see.

I like how in this picture all of the colors stand out. It looks super industrial and I really like it. I like how you kind of framed the picture with the tape and the bars. Also how your eye is drawn to the colors because they stand out so well.
