Jake D- Winter Fest

I like to call this picture “Winter Fest” because I took it at the winter fest of lights in Ocean City Maryland. It was taken in December on break, and I used my Canon EOS Rebel T7i. It was fairly well lit inside the big tent so I did not need to use too many settings to capture this. I edited it with Photoshop and the Nik Collection. I like it, and probably would not change it.

Stephanie T- Unreachable Dreams

The original picture was taken downtown close to magic city sign and it was taken with a Canon T1i. I merged this picture with other pictures I took downtown the door was the starting one and then I took a second picture of graffiti hand and merged its as if it reaching for something they need as an escape or are trying to get somewhere to go and then got a third picture to merge some nature into the photo. I also decided to draw a tree sketch to make it pop out. I think it could be better if the tree sketch popped out a little more and possible maybe change it to a different color but I think the orange really compliments it.

Zach B - Pretty Plastic

This is a photo I took towards the start of the year. It is of my friend Olivia and I edited this picture to turn it in for the LensCulture contest. In order to take the photo I used a cover of Ferrero Rocher cover that distorted the image to make multiple shots of the same subject. I put this photo through the Nik collection coloring filter giving it a lighter bluish pink tone to the photo. I really like the distortion too :)

Yuliana Z- Wrapped in Plastic

The title of this picture is Wrapped In Plastic. This photo was taken in my home in our bathtub on December 31st 2019. I took it on my Canon Rebel Eos T6. I edited this photo by increasing the center brightness by decreasing the brightness of the border of the photo. I also edited the picture by increasing the blues, reds and details in detail extractor. The use of Nik Collection creates an extra layer so I shifted that layer down a bit to create a seemingly blurry or subtly glitch effect. She was wearing a black bathing suit but I removed the strap that would have shown to give off a more vulnerable look. I also put the horizontal lines to resemble he idea of blinds and looking into them. I felt as though this picture didn’t enough to as it as I would like but I wasn’t sure what else to do so if I know what else I could add, that could make the picture better.

David J- Posterized Pano

I took this photo yesterday while skateboarding by my house. I edited it by stitching together a bunch of photos to get a panorama and posterizing it. I wish I had taken more photos so I could make it better centered.

Esmeralda V- Outline

I took this picture of my sister during Thanksgiving break using my T6 camera.
I outlined the leaf and the logs in the background, and I also added a film grain filter. That is basically everything.

Jasmine W - Untitled

This picture is called “Untitled” because I am really not sure wha tot call it. I took the picture while I was driving past Brookwood Medical Center. I tried to make the picture look like a surrealism picture. This is is composed of two picture. The sky was replaced and the vibrance was increased. I layered the sky over the building and turned down the opacity to make it look like all of the clouds were actually real and to look as if it was reflecting against the glass. There is nothing I would change about the picture because I think it looks really could and dreamy.

Faye M--Sketchy

The title of my image is “Sketchy” both as a reference to the sketch of the half of the face and to the descriptor ‘sketchy,’ as something that isn’t trustworthy. It was taken in the studio about a month ago. It was taken with a Canon Rebel t6. I started by editing the face with an increase in contrast and a healthy amount of dodging and burning. The photo was then divided in to sections with half of the face being erased. I then used the erased section as a guide to draw out the second half of the face. I like how it is now, but I’m sure I could do more. I would love some advice or maybe some ideas, as this will probably appear in my AP Portfolio.

Morgan H - Daze

For this image, I had entitled it ‘Daze’ because of the hazy vibes I get from the photo. Mia Rouss had taken the photo of me using a Canon T6. I had edited the photo myself, adding gradient rays going over my face. Then, I added text to spice up the photo some more because it was too bland in my opinion.

Anna S- Reflections

I took this picture with my Nikon, and I obviously called it “Reflections” because of the mirror. I layered the second image of her holding the mirror on top of another portrait I took of her. I didn’t really do much editing besides contrast and lighting. I like how you can still see her behind the mirror.

Hillary A- Girl in the City

Uh I made this composite with a picture of Mia, picture of the rainbow tunnel downtown bham, and the city landscape is from downtown Atlanta.  I saw a picture that is way better than mine but I tried to create my own version of it.

Anna Claire H - City Perspectives

The title of this image is City Perspectives. I took this photo will on a trip to Chicago during Christmas break. I took this with my Canon EOS Rebel XS. I enhanced the color of the sky and increased the contrast. I like this photo because a few years ago I had taken the photo of the same building but this time just a different perspective.

Hayden H- Reflections

I took this photo downtown with my Nikon D7100. I found a mirror/ box sitting next to a trashcan, and decided to get creative. It was sunset, so the sunset contributed to the warm colors in the photo. I do not think that I would change anything about this photo.

Ainsley M- At Lake Michigan

This picture was taken over Christ break at Lake Michigan with a Nikon d3500. I edited it by making the picture black and white, then adding contrast in the limbs of the tree. I also made the sky darker so the tree limbs would be more detailed. I’m not sure how I would change it but I really like how it turned out!

Mollie E- "Tree Line"

This image is entitled “Tree line” because that is what the picture is of. I took this picture at Old Baker Farm around Halloween with my Nikon d3400. I edit this image in Photoshop using the basic editing tools and then I added a filter from the Nik collection, specifically the Analog Efex Pro filter. I don’t think there is anything I would do to this image to change it.

Mia R- On a Shoe String

I took this last week at the antique shop in bluff park after the sunset using my Canon. I made the colors a bit more vibrant and then I outlined the subject with a brush tool in photoshop.

Alexa P- Luminescence

The title of this image is “Luminescence”. I named it this because of the lights that are in the photo. This is a composite picture I used for one of the assignments. It is a picture of someone with lights around their neck blended with a water park image. Overall, I brightened the image to make certain things pop. I am not sure what I could change about it. :)

Mollie E- "Springville"

This Image is entitled “Springville” because that is where this image was taken. I took this image in mid-November with my Nikon d3400 Camera. To edit this image, I did it once in black and white and one in color and then put them on top of each other. I then added a mask to one of the layers and removed a top and bottom triangle from the color image and added a stroke line. There isn’t anything that I would do to change this image.

OmarT- Taking Flight

I shot this photo in downtown Birmingham during the winter and shot this with my Canon rebel T6 and some of the things I did to is is change the color of the sunset as well as added the plane to give the photo a new look. Overall I think I could have made the photo a lot more simple but I like the come all in all.

Deebaj F- Mask

I took this picture for the composite assignment. I merged four picture together and added a mask. I took all of the picture with my Canon Rebel T6. I edited this picture by adding the mask to it and I also use the Nick collection. After that I darken the edges of this image and added color to her eyes to give a different touch to this image.

Mia R- Squiggle

I took this in the studio before the winter break with my Canon camera. I made the contrast and the saturation higher and then I drew black squiggles around the subject.

Katie H - Skylar

This photo is titled “Skylar.” I took this is ross bridge for the assignment 3 during the first semester. I edited this picture by manipulating the colors, like skin tone, lip color, grass color, ec. I also colored in the lips some to make them be more pink and added some eyeshadow. I burned the background some and dodged her face and body. Overall, I had a lot of fun shooting the subject and I like how the image turned out.

Esmeralda V- Street Light

This image was taken using my Canon T6 camera on New Years at about 2am.  I edited this image simply by taking away any harsh lights and blemishes on the person.  I really like the simplicity of this image. :)

Stephanie T.- Cruising Vibes

It was taking downtown Birmingham by railroad park I don’t remember when it was taken I forgot. It was taken with Canon T1i. I increased the brightness of the photo to make him stand out more and used a vintage filter theme for the photo. I think it would have been better if I had taken few more shots of him standing like that because it did come out blurry a bit.
