Alana W- Motion Blur

The title of this image is Motion Blur and I took this image March 11, 2021, with my Canon Rebel T6 camera in the studio. To get this shot I sed a shutter speed of 15 seconds and dragged lights around my friend in a dark room. I then edited this by adding a camera raw filter of blue and adding exposure to the camera raw filter. I then adjusted the brightness and contrast a bit and added a blur filter to my friend as found in the center of the image. I really love this image, it is the coolest shot I have ever taken with string lights and I feel like it could have been better if I left my friend unblurred in the center.

This is such a neat photo! I really like all of the different colors of lights around the subject. I would agree with you and say that it would look cooler if the subject was in focus. Overall, nice photo.

Nice picture! I love the different colored lighting that you incorporated into the shot. I enjoy the colors blending into each other so that it isn't too obvious that one section is one color and another section is another color. And by the leading lines surrounding your friend definitely catches the viewer's eye. Although I would light his face just a bit because its a bit too dark for my liking. But besides that I thoroughly love this photo and it is something that I would have framed and on a table as a decoration.

This is a really creative picture. The changing of the shutter speed to ensure light streaks was really smart and well executed. I also like the way the lights look as if they are one continuous streak going around you. The only critique I would have is leaving your friend in the center unblurred as you said. Other than that this is a really great and powerful image.

This picture is Awesome! I love light painting, and this picture is an excellent example of light painting done well. I love how the motion blur clearly separates your friend from the background and foreground lights. The only thing I might have done differently is to have less lights. The cluttered feeling of having so many lights to drag around works really well, but it gets somewhat busy, especially on the right side of the frame. Overall, really nice picture!
