Macy M - In the Shadows

The title of this image is “In the Shadows.” It was taken on Sep. 24th at 9:35 am in the studio. It was taken with a Canon Rebel T6. I made it Black and White, darkened it, added dome definition, added contrast, and added a grain. I wish the hair looked a little different. I think I should have used the dodge tool a little more. I’m really interested to know what y’all think this photo portrays.

I really love this picture! The focus of the male is soft yet sharp at the same time. The fabric works really well with creating a shadow around him and the lighting helps with centering him even more too. The color scheme and expression from him portrays a sense of being lost or emptiness due to the blank stare into the camera.

This is a beautiful photograph! It has very old vibe to it. It kind of looks like it was taken in the 80s. I love the expression on the models face and the black and white filter really sets the mood. Nice work!

I really like this photo because it reminds me of a cover for a magazine. The mix of lightness and darkness adds a really cool effect. If there was anything that I would change about this image, I would make the white cloth just a little bit darker. Other than that, I love it!!! great work

I really like this picture! I think the reflection of light off the sheet contrasts to the shadow it leaves on Zach's face. I think the detail in his eye came out really nice and attention grabbing. I also really like the fact that you can still see the structure of his face from in the shadows. Overall I really love this picture and think you did an amazing job.

This is a really cool picture. The balance between the darks and the lights are really nice. I like how the right half is mostly light and the left side is mostly dark. Very mysterious I like! Good job!
