Ben D- Home

I took this photo at an abandoned skyscraper downtown last weekend. I shot this on a Canon T5i with an Opteka 6.5mm fisheye at f/8. I used the fisheye to create some dramatic lines within the building and to show off the person’s entire living space. I feel like this photo shows how poor the living conditions can be for those who are homeless around the world, being forced to live in a deteriorating skyscraper with no head or real shelter.

I really really like this. I can tell that there is a story and this picture captures it. The fisheye lens really captures the whole space and draws in your eyes. I like the contrast and the muted colors. I think this picture would look very good in black and white. Also if there was a person in this shot it would create a good focus point. Right now my eyes are kind of drawn everywhere but it doesn't take away from anything.

I like the angle you shot it in, you were able to capture the story and the details in it. I also like the lighting and the colors. I like how you can see everything which shows the living conditions.

This edit turned out great. I like how you used the fisheye, because you can really see how the light from the side window illuminates the room. It was also taken at an angle so that you see the whole room. The long shadows make you look up and down the room. I also like how you can see a little bit of the buildings out of the window. It makes you see that it is in a skyscraper. Good job.

I love this image! I really like how it has sort of a fish eye affect. It also looks really good with the natural light in the window and the messiness of the space. I also really like the neutral colors. Great Job!
