Emily K - Ocean in The Palm of Your Hand

This image is called “Ocean in The Palm of Your Hand” and it was taken at my house on September 24, 2023 with my Canon t7 for the hands and feet assignment. I cropped it, added a surfer that I got from the internet, and added an artistic filter. I also adjusted a few of the colors and contrasts to make the paint brighter. I think it could have been better if the models fingers were closer together because I feel like the space between makes it too divided. I had a lot of fun setting up this picture and editing it! 

 

Nathan E- Hop Hop

 I took this photo when I was on a nature walk with my environmental science class. I got close up and zoomed in and got this really cool shot. I really love the angle and the focus on the subject.

Brandon B- Abandoned Valley

 This image is titled “Abandoned Valley” and is a combination of images taken over the summer of 2023.  This was taken with my iPhone 13 Pro and edited in Photoshop.  I edited this by using a variety of images at different angles and using the mask tool with various types of brushes.  I then edited the hue of each section to have an unrealistic feel to the image.  Finally, I flattened the image and adjusted the curves to enhance some detail and color.  This could be better if I spent more time on the masks and possibly added even more.

Kay A- Aruna

 The title of this selected image is Aruna which means “moon love” in Japanese, This image was taken in Nashville Tennessee with my Canon EOS revel What I did to edit was I used the Nix Collection filter, the dodge tool, as well as the cropping tool with the generative expand. I think it could have been better if the buildings stood out a bit more.

Helen S- Meadow Cat

I titled this image “Meadow Cat” I took this over the weekend at my aunts house before a family gathering. I used my Iphone 12 pro max to take it. I used the burn tool to give the image more definition and cropped the bottom some. As well as using the healing brush to touch up minor spots in the image. I think that if I used my professional camera the quality would be much better but I had to work with what I had.

 

Caroline M- Jefferson County K9

 The name of this image is Jefferson County K9. It was taken August 1st 2023 at Jefferson County's National Night Out on my Nikon D3300. To edit it I darkened it and gave it a very light orange tint. I wish I darkened it a little bit more and I wish the shadows weren't so prominent  but overall I really like this photo.

Alex B-H - Studious

 I called this Studious, I took this in the Spirit Halloween parking lot, on September 10th at 7:00pm. I took this on my Iphone 13 with the 0.5 mode(that's why it looks so funny). I used the camera raw filter to edit. I wish I had been standing a bit more still. 

Michelle R- The Zone

 This photo was taken in my house last week. It was taken with my camera I used a wide lens and a normal lens. I splattered some paint and darkened the photo and converted it to purple and pink.I think something could have been added to better it.

Dylan T- Halloween

 I call this one halloween(pretty self explanatory. I took this in the back studio last week with my canon rebel t7 for my story illustration project. This on i actually did edit i made a bunch of layers and added some grainy effects on the mask just to make it look more realistic. I could’ve taken it where the top looks less like a mask and more natural but im still satisfied with the final product

Vincent S- A Fitting Out Nowhere

I took this image at the WaterMark in one of the unused rooms there using my Canon camera. I didn’t edit it because I feel as if the vibe I was going for is better achieved raw. I took this picture with the intention of capturing a place that looks like people should populate it but fail to and I think I did pretty well with this one.

Wendy S- Lucy

 The title of my image is “Lucy” Lucy is the black lab in the photot. It was taken at a friends lakehouse back in easter when we got on their boat. This photo was taken by me with my Iphone i did adjust the lighting but overall the sunlight really brought her eyes out. It would be better if i could crop out the girl next to lucy but if i did so Lucy would also be cropped so i decided to leave the image as it is. 

Sophia T - Graduated!

 I took this image while at my brother’s graduation at Auburn University. My subject is my brother’s girlfriend, who is clearly very proud and excited for my brother. I lightly edited it, increasing the light and color contrast slightly. I love how candid this picture is. If I were to change anything, I would probably reduce the noise and increase the color saturation slightly. I would have also liked to see this image taken from different angles. 

Jade S- Bluey Days

 The title of this image is “Bluey Days''. I took this photo about a week ago at the Eagle complex. It was taken with an Iphone 11 Pro Max. I edited it with photoshop and all I did was add a color pop and blue mood filter. I could have gotten a clearer shot if I was standing up and I would've gotten all the fields in it, but overall I think it needs a lot of improvement. 

Evan S- Sky

 This image is called“Sky”, It was taken at the Galleria. I took it with a Nikon D3000 and it has .0 editing. To make it better It should be edited.

Aidan P- Dark Day

 This image was taken on my porch during a sunny rain. I changed the grass to purple and the sky is light but I made everything else darker including the sky some. I thought it made it creepier. I did it for the site image assignment but I took the picture a good bit before that. I do like it but wish I had a bit more detail on some parts.

Kenn J- Eternal High

 This was taken in New Orleans during Essence festival on the strip. It was taken with my iPhone. I adjusted the hue and saturation then I also did a composite to lay another picture on top of the one taken from the strip and that photo was taken a little while ago last year. I really like it I would wish for some other parts to be more apparent than others.

Mia N - Green

 I took this picture downtown at Railroad Park about two weeks ago. It was taken with my Nikon-Z50. This picture is unedited, I think it would definitely be much better if I edited it a little. 

Marcie M - Shrooms

 I titled this image “Shrooms” because it is a picture of either turkey tail or false turkey tail, which are a type of mushroom. The original photo was quite boring, so I decided to heavily edit it so it simulates a typical depiction of a “shroom trip.” This was taken in Moss Rock back in August with my iPhone, and I edited it by changing the hue and adding an overlay to blend into the background. My main goal of this photo was to give the human eye some pretty colors to look at without hurting the viewer’s eyes. Due to the heavy edits, you can’t quite tell what the picture is, but I decided to keep the monotonous colors of the image.

Nathan E - Survival Spirt

 This was my Hunger Game assessment i did. With the photo by its self it captures a persons wild soul. Really shows a fighting spirt. I took the mocking bird for the bird and the girl is a friend of mine and her eye with fire in it.

Maci J- Hungry Penguin

 The title of this image is Hungry Penguin. I took this photo this past summer at the “Gulfarium” in Destin, Florida. There were river otters, lots of penguins, seals, and more. I really enjoy animals but it was just very hot when my family went. This photo was also taken with my Canon camera. I did minimal editing to lighting and shadows, but then used the Nik Collection to get a vignette. This image could be better if I made features of the penguin more defining, it’s just a very simple image.
