Shelby S - The Eras Tour
This image is called “The Eras Tour” and it was taken at Rose’s house, the model during the first week of September 2024. It was taken with my Canon eos rebel t4i. We were running out of time between after school and the sunset, so the photos at the bottom had a different quality compared to the top, the top looks better, no balance. I edited it by making the subject black and white, adding a color solid, playing with the blending modes, and experimenting with highlights and shadows. I think I could’ve planned time management better ahead so all the photos looked the same with quality. In all, this image took me a total of 12 hours to complete with getting ready, taking pictures, and editing.

I like the different poses a colors it looks like a real live poster and I love the amount of different contrast.
It sounds like you put a lot of time and effort into creating “The Eras Tour” image, and you’ve learned a lot from the process. Using your Canon EOS Rebel T4i, capturing the images during a time-sensitive moment, and later realizing that the bottom photos had a different quality than the top shows a deep awareness of how lighting conditions can impact a shoot. Your experimentation with editing techniques like black and white effects, blending modes, and adjustments in highlights and shadows must have added a creative touch, even if the quality didn’t feel as balanced throughout.
Acknowledging the time management aspect is key, and that’s a great reflection—planning better for lighting consistency or adjusting your setup earlier could indeed help avoid those issues in future projects. However, the dedication of 12 hours from preparation, capturing, to editing shows your commitment to the craft. With every project, there’s always something to learn, and it seems you’ve already gained valuable insights for next time! How do you feel about the final product despite those challenges?

This is seriously one of the best poster assignments I’ve seen. Rose looks absolutely gorgeous in every single photo, but my favorite is definitely the top right purple photograph. You can tell that you put a lot of time and effort into this assignment. It was definitely worth the 12 hours of work! I would not change a thing about this image. You should be very proud of your work and Rose should be very appreciative. Keep up the good work, Shelby! :)
I love this photo! I really like how every photo has a completely diffrent vibe to it. I also really love how each photo has a diffrent but simular pose to it. Good job!
