This image is titled ‘Honey’ because that is partly the subject of the image. This image was taken back at the beginning of December at my house and taken with a Nikon d3500. I originally started taking these pictures to experiment with my new 35mm f.14 lens, and I’m really happy with how the images turned out! We used honey as a way to reflect light, and I edited them by adding a black and white filter and then adjusting the light and contrast. Then I went in and sharpened different sections as well as used the dodge and burn tool in certain areas. I think I could make it better by adjusting the focus of the camera on certain parts of her face, but overall I’m really happy with how it turned out!

Cool picture! Your lighting is soft and seems to enhance the contrast of the honey on her face. I believe the dark and light areas on her face seem well balanced and accentuate her skin texture. Although I would lighten the pupil and the eye a bit more because I see it a bit too dark. Overall, I really like the contrast of the honey and her face. This photo is definitely a keeper.
This picture is really cool! I love the style of all your images, with the up-close portraits and all that. Also, I love the usage of your black and white I feel like you nail the darks and lights in the image perfectly. Overall a great image! Keep up the great work
