Jerusha K- Still Life

I took this picture in the studio with Mr. Rigsby’s camera. I edited this photo by erasing so many impurities and I put three different ways to darken different parts of the photo. Increased the shapes of the whole photo. Something I would change though is making the edges of the hat to be more natural and not looking obviously cropped

The image is simple but it looks amazing you caught all the little details of the flower and hat perfectly and the lighting is done perfectly. I don't see anything that needs improvement.

The framing of this image is very nice and I like how the flower is off center. The purple compliments the dark hat very well. The background being nothing but a void adds character to the image when most would have a background. - Jack J HHS

Very nice picture! Your focus is precise and clear on both the hat and flower. I like how your lighting that seems to hit from the right side coincides with the shadow on the hat. The color range is drastically on the dark side and the vibrance of the flower adds a nice touch to the photo. And it enrapture the viewer to your image. I really like your photo because it is a clean and clear picture that seems like it could honestly be in some ad or wallpaper.

I love this picture so much! The contrast of the flower and the hat really catches someone's eye and this is THE picture! I love how the flower is also on the opposite side of the hat because it's like you are supposed to see the flower but straight in front of the camera. - Anna D.

I really like this picture, the centering of the image looks really good. The purple flower looks really good on the black background and the hat. Great work

I really like this picture! The separation between subject and background is done incredibly well, and having the background be monotone black works really well to set apart the already dark hat. I'm a fan of the lighting, the harsh side lighting gives the image a real feeling of texture and depth that a full light wouldn't. The only thing I might have done differently is the position of the flower. Being the only color in the image, it's a large focal point for the image which might look better on one of the thirds. Either way, rules are made to be bent and the photo looks great!

I really love this image! The focus is sharp and clear with a great amount of exposure coming in from the right of the image which makes it successful. I love the balance of light and dark areas between the light hitting the hat and where it doesn't, it makes the image more dramatic and successful. I also love how the flower is in color! Overall I really like this image! It is a keeper that I would definitely print and hang.
