MITCHELL C- Untitled

This image is unfortunately unnamed but I absolutely love it nonetheless. It was my cousin's Labrador Retriever and I took it with a Canon 6D camera and 80mm 1.8. I converted it into a black and white to add interest and impact and decided to have an extremely shallow depth of field for depth. Instead of having the focus point on his eyes, I thought having it on his nose was much more interesting. Also, having him fill the entire frame was extremely effective in the overall mood and tone. I honestly cannot think of anything that I would change; I’m sure that if I were to ask around, that answer would change, but from my own opinion, and only taking in consideration of what I think, I really like it just how it is!

I really love this image, I think it has a great depth of field which is deep, but it works really well with the image. The lighting is also brilliant with the depth of field there are no areas too dark compared to others and it's like a smooth balance. I also like the coloring of the image, instead of it being difficult to tell which areas are lighte and darker it is very clear and easy to see. I really enjoy this image overall, I think the dog is very adorable and I love the way the image is in black and white.

I really like this picture. I like how the focus I’d on the nose but I think if it was focused on the eyes a little more it would look better. The contras in the image is really nice and I think the black and white works very nice with it. Over all I think this is a nice image and I like it a lot.

I'm a huge fan of the shallow depth of field! The focus, entirely on the snout, gives the image a fantastic sense of depth! The choice of black and white really helps with the textured feel as well, and the positioning of the focal point on one of the thirds makes the image stand out. The only thing I might change about the picture would be a wider frame, especially on the right border. Aside from that, great work!

I really like this photo. The focus is very precise. The Focus add an extra detail and character because the dog itself is out of focus. Overall I cant explain the photo but I really like it.
