Katie H - Don't See Color

The title of his image is “don’t see color”. This was taken by self timer at my house on Sunday. It was taken with my Nikon camera. I edited it by darkening the background and brightening the face, adding color to the face and body, and many other techniques to make it the way it is. I think it could be better if I darkened the background a bit more. If you get anything out of this image though, it is that you should not judge anyone on the basis of color. In a time where the country is divided, it is a reminder that we are all human. Do not let the oppressor fool you. Stick to your morals and overall, just be a kind person.

I love this picture! I like that you kept your depth of field relatively shallow and more concentrated on your face. As well as your lighting, it really drew my eye to the colors falling on your face and hand. The balance is nice although I would have preferred to add some more brightness to the purple and pink below your chin because they become obscured by the darker background. Overall I really like the composition of your picture and your meaning behind it, a definite keeper.

Woah Katie! This is so cool! I love your idea and the way you portrayed your vision! I really like the overall darkness of the photo and the way you added the color onto your face and body. I also like how certain colors have more light, so the yellow is highlighting your nose, cheeks, and forehead. I think this really adds alot to your image. I honestly just l love everything about it- the meaning, and the image!
