Carson R - Endangered

This image is entitled “Endangered”. It was taken at the New Orleans Zoo the weekend before Spring Break with a Nikon d3400. I edited this image by increasing the contrast of the elephant and brightening it up a little bit. I then painted the background black. I used the dodge and burn tool to mess with the details. I also had to remove lines of wire as the enclosure was in the way which took a very long time. I then moved the image to Lightroom in order to increase the clarity of the animal. I don’t know of any way this image could be better.

You did a really good job with getting rid of the wire from the enclosure. I also really like the detail on the elephant and the dodging and burning you did. I think that you could have cropped in a little bit more on the right side of the picture. I think you did a really good job of painting the black background too. Good job and keep up the good work!

Really nice photo I like how you painted the background black. I like the details on the elephant and how you got a clear shot of it.

This photo is extremely good. Your editing for the fence paid off because it's seamless. The quality, color, and lighting for this image is perfect. nice :-)

I really love this image! The depth of this picture really hits hard and the over all detail is amazing. You did a really great job capturing the colorations and details of the elephant's skin. I wouldn't change anything about this picture!

I really like how meaningful the name is. The darkness of the photo really gives it the strong sad emotion. I think it's really cool that even though the animal is dark as well, it still manages to pop. I could definitely see this in National Geographic for an article for either endangered animals or elephants.

I love this image. I think that the contrast is well done and I like the subject. The title also carries weight behind it which is always a nice touch to the image you have captured. The details in the photo are also very well capsulated. It's overall a really great photo! Good job!

I love this picture! I like how dark it is around the edges and how it makes the focus more on the elephants face. The detail on its face, trunk, and ears is really nice! Really good!!
