This image is entitled “Breath of a Lion”. It was taken at the Birmingham Zoo last weekend with a Nikon d3400. I edited this image in photoshop by increasing the contrast of the lion. I used the dodge and burn tool to adjust parts of his face. I then used the brush tool to paint the background black. I also used the burn tool to make the edge where his face meets black seem more natural. I used the Pixelmator app on the Mac to add light leaks until I got the look I was going for. I think this image could be better if the chin of the lion looked a little more blended. This image was inspired by the story “The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe” and kind of reminds me of the part when Aslan was killed by the witch and then brought back to life.

This is a really awesome composite! I really like all the detail you were able to capture on the lion's fur. I also really like how the lighting is on and around the lion. You did a good job with the lighting. I also really like how you did the background and made it look like there are stars around the lion.
This picture looks amazing. I love the way you edited it and had the little specks of light in the background. I also like how you edited the picture of the lion to make his neck dark but his face bright. This is a great picture and a great edit. I would definitely keep this photo.

I really like this picture. I can really see how you had the image being inspired by the story “The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe”. I cannot tell if the edges of his face are blurry do to the the change of quality of it being posted onto the blog, but if not then I think that the edges could have been sharpened more. Overall, good job!

I really like this image; it looks like the lion is breathing out fireflies. I love how you used the dodge and burn tool to edit the lion and increase the intensity of him. I also love the smoothness of the transition from the lion to the black background with the dots. It looks really nice, good job!

I really like this photo! I like the star lookin things on the right side of the screen on the left. The contrast is good. I like the fade kinda thing that goes from the left into the lions head. Overall, it's a great photo! Keep it up.

A really cool photo! I just think of some fantasy movie with how the flakes of fire is coming off of the tiger as if it was suppose too. This is a really neat photo idea and I could never come up with something like this! I like that the rest of the lions body is visible, but it is almost like you can imagine it yourself being there. The highlight on the lions face is also a really equal job all around it!

This is a great composite that has a lot of depth. I love the dark shadows behind the lion. The sparkles are very dream like and adds a nice effect to the image.
Woah! What an incredible photo. There is nothing negative I can say about it. I like the fading of the lion's mane and the little lights that come through in the background. I also like the story made from it. Overall, really pretty piece of art.
