Landon H - Worlds Collide

I took this photo March 4, 2019 out by Lake Wilborn, with my Canon EOS SL1, using a 50mm f/1.4. The f/1.4 really gave it the blown out background. I spent all of my time in photoshop using layer masks to color in the hands for the sunshine and stars. I then had to freehand/trace the hands to really make the hands pop and actually look like hands. I really enjoyed making this photo, it’s really out of my comfort zone and it was fun to draw the hands. The not thing I wish I could change about the photo would probably be the clarity of the stars & sunshine.

This picture looks awesome, I love the way that you have the background blown out like that. I also really like the colors that are all mixing together. You did a great job with photoshop. I would definitely keep this picture it looks great.

This is a really good picture. I like how you put pictures into the hands and arms. I think it could have been better if you put a different picture in the blurred background. Overall, great picture!

This picture is really cool! I love how the hands are the main focus of the image and the background is super out of focus, I think that adds a really nice touch. I think this is a really awesome composite and I love the photos you chose for the arms. I think the tracing of the hands was really smart in order to make the picture pop. Overall I think this is a really incredible image. Nice job!

I remember seeing this photo in class and how astonishing it looked! This image is really cool and I like the images you placed inside the hands. The blur of the image in the back makes it even better being in complete focus! This was a really neat photo and definitely a keeper, good job!

This looks really cool. It gives me a sense of bonding and friendship. I think the lighting on the left arm could be better. Also, I think the background should be a neutral color. The framing is great. I suggest making these with other body parts.

I really like this photo! To me, it kind of tells a story. A story about people coming together and two "worlds colliding". I like how the hands are traced and how the fingernails are white. In my opinion, I would have gone for a plain pastel color background. But overall, good photo!

I like this pic! I like what you did with the hands, it is very creative. I also like how you did clouds on one and stars on the other kinda resembling day and night. The clarity and sharpness are really great. How the background is blurred also is really nice. Overall this is a great and creative picture! Good job!
