Brandon H- “La Pelle Du Vide”

This picture is titled after a French saying that means “the call of the void.” It refers to that unexplainable urge to jump from high places that lasts for just a split second. I took this picture 100 feet over the Cahaba on some really cool tracks. I like this picture a lot because of the color pallet the rust has to offer. I edited this by taking my friend will out of focus so that the main focus of the image is on the rust. I edited it by dulling the colors around the metal using a black and white filter with a low opacity.

I really like this image because of the angle at which it was taken and the rustic, old school feel. I like how the focus is on the object not the person. The title is really cool too, perfect for the picture. The only thing I would change would be to edit out the drone? or whatever is around Will. Overall this is a really awesome image.

The leaned angle is really great and adds a bit more to the theme to this picture with the call of the void as such. I love what you did with the title of your picture and the dullness in this shot does give it a more darker feel. The only thing I would've changed it making the colors pop less and making the picture itself contrasted more. - Cullen S.

cool pic! I like the leading line of the the bridge/tracks. I also find it intriguing that the foreground is clear and has nice color but the background is dull and not in focus. This photo makes me feel mysterious.

I'm not usually a fan of tilting an image or the camera like this, but in this case, it works very well because of the angle of his head. I also really like the colors.

Cool picture! I like the angle the picture was taken it because it looks cool. I like how you made the person out of focus to emphasize on the object. I like the overall lack of color in the picture because it really gives it a more dramatic and rustic feel. Overall, I really like this picture!
