Kate M.- After Leibovitz

I couldn’t think of a title for this picture so I just named it photoblog 3. I took this in my house last year for the portrait assignment. I set up a bed sheet that had been used for painting as a backdrop. My dad wanted me to take a picture of him that looked like an Annie Leibovitz portrait, so I tried to emulate that in my editing. I made this image black and white with a high contrast. This image could be better if the background was a little blurrier.

I this photo a lot. The contrast really makes this photo great. I am looking for things to correct but it is hard to find any. Good Shot!

Hey Kate! Great shot. I love the lighting in the this shot and how it's coming from one side. Also i love how his shirt was black and so it doesn't take away from the main focus of his face, even though that's probably something you didn't plan. The only thing I would say to make the picture better would be more of a blank background. I know some people said they liked it, but I just find it to be a bit of a distraction. Nice work.

This is a very good portrait. I love how you changed it too B&W. Changing the contrast as well just blows out the blacks and make them look sharp. Overall good shot.
