The tile of this image is all Alley Door. I took this downtown around the UAB campus area. I raised the highlights and brought out the color of the blue faded paint on the bricks. I also used a black-and0white layer and turned the opacity down so that the focus is he black door. Overall I am very pleased with this photo.

I like the symmetry of this picture, how it’s all vertical and horizontal lines and almost a mirror image. I also like the contrast of the colorful bricks against the grayscale door. It might have been interesting to capture this same image from an angle, to make diagonal lines and create a different effect. But it’s still a great photo.
