Nabeyal K- Tree of Leaves
The title of this image is called Tree of Leaves. I took this photo at my house a few weeks ago. It was taken with my iPhone.I edited it by adding light and focusing in on the leaves. It could be better if I darkened it a little bit more

Rachel N - Hydrophobic
This is Hydrophobic. It was taken in my house on October 26, 2025. It was taken with my Nikon Z5 camera. I edited it by playing with the colors and saturation, and added a droplet to make it cooler. It was essentially for the Architecture, Leaves, or Moods assignment. I did great on editing the leaves.
Kye W - Stillness in Contrast
This photograph, titled “Stillness in Contrast,” was taken by me in my classroom on November 12. I used my Canon Rebel T7 camera to capture the arrangement of a lamp, globe, skull, and plant. The image was edited in black and white to emphasize the texture of each object and the lighting contrast between the bright lamp and dark shadows. I adjusted the exposure and contrast to bring out the cracked surface of the lamp and deepen the shadows on the wall. If I could improve it, I would balance the lighting to reduce glare near the lamp shade while keeping the strong highlights intact. I chose this image because it combines themes of knowledge, life, and mortality, giving an everyday scene a dramatic, almost symbolic tone.

Irais B-C - Magenta Escape
This photo was taken on October 26th in downtown Birmingham before a concert, and I took it on my iPhone 16. I wanted to make this image colored and special. I think I achieved that pretty nicely. I brightened up specific windows to give them a pattern, and I saturated colors as well as changed the hue of them. So for the red, I made it magenta, and for the blue-ish, I made that a violet. I also made the lights by the doors glow a bit brighter. Overall, I think this photo is pretty neat.
Calliope T - Allan
This image is titled “Allan” and was taken at school in Mr. Windle’s room on October 31st, 2025. It was taken with my Nikon camera. To edit this picture I fixed the lighting by increasing the contrast and exposure and I also brightened up the colors a little bit. I removed some distracting pieces from the background and blurred the background a little bit. I think it could be better if the chair was a little bit blurred too, and maybe if I cropped it a little differently to make the subject stand out more. I like this picture because it took me a while to get Allan to smile for the photo, but I eventually got it.

Liam O- Moods
This was taken in the courtyard with Mr. Rigsby's camera. I edited the brightness then turned it black and white. I finally colored the subject and then posterized it using a filter. I wish the subject was more colorful.
Darnell C - Nabi-Zilla
I call it “Nabi-Zilla”. I took the picture in my Jr. year of high school in 2024, during the Haunted Hallway Auditions, on the theater hall.I took it using my using my Iphone. I cutt out my friends Nabeyal and Louise and put them in a city street i found on google, made them gigantic, and added a rubble effect on the ground. I could’ve edited my friends to be brighter, so they would match the background better.
Shelby S - Boys Don't Cry
The title of this image is Boys Don’t Cry. This was taken in the studio with Mr. Rigsby’s camera during 4th period. I edited it by placing every individual magazine letter on his cheek, turned down the saturation on his face to 0, then turned the saturation to 100 on the letters. I could’ve used other techniques to add some spice to it.
Surya P - Holding On
I took this image a few weeks ago in my aunt’s backyard on my Nikon D750. I edited it by darkening the background and bringing out the greens so that the red of the leaf would pop a little more. I also removed surrounding branches and leaves. I think the background could be a little darker and then the leaf could be a little offcenter, rule of thirds type thing. I think this is a really cool image though.
