Emily K - Dreamy Walking

This image is called “Dreamy Walking” and it was taken on October 16th with my Canon Rebel T7 in the Moss Rock Preserve. I did a lot of editing with this one such as adding the clouds in the background to create depth, putting a Gaussian blur over the entire photo, removing little distractions, adjusting the colors, and playing around with the exposure and brightness. One of the model’s dresses was messed up on the bottom so I used the clone tool to fix it. I think it would be better if some of the grass was fixed because there are some bare spots but I was afraid to do that in case it made it look a little too fake.

I realy like this photo it kinda feels like a dream or movie scene. The background kinda reminds me of stranger things if it had a completely different story the only suggestion i have would be to center the sky but besides that everything is really nice

I really like this photo, I like the sort of blur to the photo aswell as the scenery and place where this was taken makes it feel like it's not real or in a fantasy world. Good editing, very good photo.

I really love this photo, it makes me think of girlhood. The hazy filter makes it look like a dream and the colors are beautiful.

It sounds like you’ve put a lot of thought and effort into editing “Dreamy Walking” to capture your vision! The added clouds and overall Gaussian blur must create a really ethereal atmosphere, which fits the title perfectly. It’s impressive how you utilized various techniques like color adjustments, exposure tweaks, and even detailed work with the clone tool to fix the dress. The level of dedication shows in how you managed to keep distractions out and refine the image’s depth.

Regarding the grass, I understand the hesitation—it can be tricky to enhance natural elements like that without risking an artificial look. But from the amount of attention to detail you’ve shown, it might be worth giving it a shot, especially if you approach it lightly. Perhaps focusing on softening the bare spots rather than completely filling them in might keep it more realistic. It sounds like you’re already very conscious of not over-editing, which is key to maintaining that natural feel.

This picture is beautiful! I love the softness of the colors and the lighting. It feels like it was taken straight out of a fairytale! The Gaussian blur added to the overall mood of the photo! Also, the clouds that you added look so realistic I didn't even know you edit them in there! Amazing job! -V.S. HHS
