Dori H - Lost Fairy

This image is called Lost Fairy, It is a composite image with only two images. The base image is a macro shot of a bonsai tree which I lowered the lighting of. The second photo is of my friend posing down as if she’s reaching for something. After combining the two photos and fixing the lighting, I added a glowing light coming from the tiny plant on the ground. I made sure to add the glow on my friend’s face and hand. I then added an overlay on the image to make the entire picture cohesive. I do wish my friend’s hair didn’t look muted but I had to lower the highlights in her hair to match the lighting of the environment.
Both of these pictures were taken in August this year. I took the picture of the bonsai tree at Aldridge Gardens where they had a wide selection of beautiful bonsai trees and the second image, was taken at Red Mountain Park.
I really liked how this image turned out and I hope I can make more like it in the future!

This is really creative! I love the attention to detail especially with the glow. This shot tells a story and it makes me eager to find out what it is. Keep making more of this. I love it!!

I really love these colors. I like the glowing green of the small plant and the detail of the tree. I think the contrast between the red hair and green gives the image a nice pop. The only thing I would change is the blur around the girl. I think it could have been blended out a bit more, as well as the shadows on the girl. Overall I really like his photo and would love to see more like it.

Wow! This is a really impressive piece! For a second, I thought this was a photo of an actual mini figure, but no! This piece's editing is cool, and the colors are stunning. I do feel like something is missing in the image's top half, though. It would be cool to see how you could tell a story with this type of style. Either way, great work!

I like this image. This image makes it look like it tells a story of nature. I like how you brought the focus to the figure instead of the background. Overall, great job!

I LOVE EVERYTHING ABOUT THIS PICTURE!!! I especially love the part of the grass that is glowing, making the the picture into a magical fairy land. The statue is so realistic. If i didn't know that it was a picture, I would've thought that she was a real person.
