Madison R - "The Veiled Nun"

This is a photo I took over the summer in the Gallery of Art in Washington, DC. This photo was taken with my Nikon D3400 camera. I edited it by adding a black-and-white filter, bringing down the highlights, and adding a vignette. I think the photo could have been a little clearer or sharper but other than that I really liked this shot!

I really like this picture! I like the clarity and focus of this picture. I also like how it's in black and white because it really makes the viewer focus in on the details. However, I do wish the statue was a bit brighter. Overall, I really like this picture and can see it in an art room.

This photo is so cool! I love the lighting and the dark background with light emitted from behind the subject. I think the lighting and the contrast give a lot of detail awe to the photo. I agree that maybe it could have been a bit sharper and clearer. Possibly bumping up the brightness is the only thing I could suggest. Great job!

This is a great photo! I like how you didn't take the photo straight on, but rather a little from the side. I also like how the photo is black and white because it helps portray a sad emotion, which I assume the lady must be feeling. The vignette is a nice touch and helps to bring more focus to the sculpture. Overall, I think you did a good job with this image.

The soft lighting really enhances the subject, making it stand out from the background, yet still nicely blended in. I also like how the lighting created shadows, making the artwork feel very lifelike. It may just be me, but I feel like the image is a little off center, although it could just be the shadows creating an illusion. Other than framing, this is a stunning image and really captures the artist's work beautifully. The image has a very ominous yet intriguingly alluring feel to it, good job.

MADISON! I really love this photo! I really love the composition and coloring of this photo! The focus is really nice, and I really like the black and white filter. I also think this was a very unique item to take photos of because I have never seen a statue like this before. I also really like the cropping and the shadows of this image. I would not change anything about this photo, and I think you did a great job with this photo!

This photo is amazing! Changing it to black and white was a very good decision. I think it brings out the features of the sculpture. I would say bring the shadows out a little more, but overall, you did an amazing job with this photo.

I love this photo! I really like the soft contrast throughout the entire frame. I think it could be a little better if the vignette was blended into the background differently. Overall, good job!

Madison this photo is amazing! I love the composition of the image. The angle is so nice. I also love how you made it black and white and added a vignette. It makes the photo more dramatic and have a more moody feel. This photo honestly looks like it should be in a magazine or something like that. Overall this is a lovely image.
