The title of this image is Bennett, named after my little brother. I took this picture on my back patio a few years ago. This was my first time using an 85mm 1.2 with my Rebel t5i. I think that the image turned out amazing. I like the composition and how close my brother is. I, of course, converted this image to a black and white, adjusted the contrast and brightness. On the contrary, I don't really like the grain on the side. It had nothing to do with my camera settings, it appeared in post production. As soon as I changed it to a B&W, this is what happened. But I still really like this image and the way it turned out.

This is one of the best images that I've seen on the photoblog, the contrast works so well and your focus is drawn exactly to the thirds. The softer focus on the background isolates the sharply focused foreground so well, and draws the eye immediately to the subject, and the fact that it's a high key means the attention is pulled to the areas of dark, like the eyes. The grain in the back isn't as bad as you claim, it provides an artificial film grain effect that I personally feel looks cool against the crisp focus of the subject. If you want to avoid it in the future, however, it sometimes works to use the blur tool slightly on the background.
This photo looks almost professionally done and the whites in this image are really good. His freckles contrast very well with his skin and the eyes do as well. Overall this is a very good image. - Jack J HHS
This is an amazing photo, I cant even begin to explain how professional this image looks. The focus on his face and radial blur was greatly executed. Making the whites pop so much was a great choice and doing a B&W filter was perfect. I would confidently say this is not only my favorite photo on the blog but the best one I have seen so far.
This picture looks so good! It look almost professional. You did really well with the lighting of the picture. The lighting and brightness gave the picture a light and happy mood. I think choosing to do a black and white picture was a good idea because it really brings your focus just to the boy's face especially his eyes. I do like how there are some darker areas and you have a great balance of the dark and light areas. I really like how the edges of the picture and the boy's eyes are darker because the darkness really brings you attention to his eyes. The picture also has a softer focus which I think really adds to the light and airy mood of the picture. Great job!

I really love this picture! The lighting really does make it look extremely professional, and I love the airiness in the photo! The focus and attention to detail in this photo is also so amazing! Very very nice picture!
