Alyssa C- Decay

The name of this image is “Decay.” I took this photo right after it had rained at Andy’s nursery. To edit this image I applied a filter over the image to darken it and then I decided to go in and add highlights to make the raindrops standout. After that was done I sharpened the edges of the petals and increased the contrast to help bring out the texture of the flowers. This is by far one of my favorite images that I have created so far this year.

I love the colors in this image. The darkness of the photo has a really cool effect. I also think the title is very fitting for this image.

I think the name fits the photo well. I love this type of work where there is brokenness with the beauty. This portrays the idea that everyone and everything has hard days. The tones are beautiful. I would not change the cropping. I am having trouble expressing in words how much I love this photo. I love Shalyssa!

This almost looks fake because it is so good. The detail is very good. I love the vibe and colors. Its like dark with light colors. It looks like another world. Wow, great job. I'm jealous.

I love the theme that is pointed out in this photo and gives the pictures a big innocent. I love the color pop from the subject that really attracts the eyes.

I really like this picture. It has a darker feel and it makes the pink really beautiful in a ominous type of way. I like the way the water droplets look too. Nice work! Alex H - HHS

I really love this photo. I don't know what aspect makes this photo look unreal, but it really makes it better. It almost looks like they came out of a fairy tale which again, really makes this photo pop. I love the subtleness of the colors too! An amazing job Alyssa!

Wow! I love the detail in this picture- it adds so much definition to the petals and center of the flowers! I also love the way you sort of muted the colors but still have the saturation high enough to make the flowers pop! Just the overall vibe it has is so good! Amazing!

I love the colors in this image! It has a purple and dark blue tone that mesh very well together! I love the sharpness and detail in this. The only critique I have is the one blurry pink flower on the left. I wish it was more clear but there is only so much you can do if the camera does not cooperate. Overall, really pretty image.

The contrast in this image is stunning! The use of cool magentas give the image a cool feel, and the stark contrast from the light flowers and the dark plants gives the picture a unique sense of focus. The sharp focus of the flowers makes the background easy to overlook, but the difference in hues really sets the image apart.

this is a really cool picture! I like the colors of the flowers and it makes me wonder what color they were originally?

I really like all he detail this photo has! And the pink and purple-ish hues on the petals themselves are really cool as well. I also really like the sharp focus and how easily you can see the raindrops. Greet job!

I love the way you edited this photo. It looks like you decreased the saturation but the colors in the flowers some how still really pop. Nice work!
