Olivia N-In the Night

The photo is called In the Night and was taken in Birmingham, AL and was taken with a Pentax K100D. I cropped the picture then, edited the photo in Photoshop using the Nik Collection filter. I darkened the background and parts of the flower’s base. I also increased the saturation and contrast in order to show more details of it while also add more light in some areas. It could be better if the image was taken at a different angle or distance.

I really like this picture. For a second i thought the background was a smoky/fog type thing but then I realized that the depth of field is just mainly focused on the flower. I also like how much the color of the flowers pop. The contrast of that and the background pops very well. Good job!

This photo is absolutely gorgeous. The colors, the roses, everything is beautiful. If you had somehow incorporated a golden necklace into the photo, it'd be even more ethereal. The only thing I wish was different was that the flowers were more sharpened/in focus.

The contrast between the red flowers and the greenish background is really pretty and it really makes the flowers pop. I love the darkness of this photo... it creates a romantic yet mysterious vibe. I like that you didn't close in on the flowers too much. You could also use the sharpen tool to add some definition or the defining filter in Nik Collection.

This is a really pretty picture! It has a very mellow vibe. I like how the background is not completely black and it has little tint to to it. The red and the green really complement each other. Very good work!

I think the soft focus on the flower, it adds to the 'noir' look, and makes it look more dramatic. I also enjoy the angle, and the centering, of the flower. You can see the whole flower and the centering helps to draw the focus to the flower. This photo seems mysterious to me, with the dark background and the soft focus. Overall, I really like this photo.

I think this is a very beautiful picture. I love the detail the focus on just the flowers has a vintage and oldish vibe and the color love that it pops and I think its good how it is

I love this photo! The vibrant red that just sticks out from the flower creates a really nice focal point for the picture! I love the subtle yellow/orangish hue that is underneath the flowers tying in what looks like a fog that is surrounding the borders of the image! Good job!
