I took this photo at the Birmingham Zoo on February 2nd, 2019 with my Canon SL1. I was using a 75-250mm lens and was getting close so I could get a lot of compression and a shallow depth of field to really make the owl pop. I spent all of my time in Lightroom making color corrections and sharpening. I did crop it to a 4x5 to really focus in on the Owl.

This is a really cool photo. the definition is at a perfect level in my opinion. The depth of field really helps make the owl pop. The contrast with the blue tones looks really pretty. The only thing I would try is brighten the eyes.

I love this image! The cool tones that you added look really nice and the shallow depth of field was a really good idea. It's definitely a keeper, and I'm glad you got to see the owl at the Bham Zoo! He's somewhat hard to find sometimes.

The image is really nice! I like how it's filtered and how all the colors in this picture fits very well. I don't think I would change anything about and I love the owl's eyes. Good work. Michelle A. HHS

First off, i love how the owl matches the background and how it was such a clear shot! I like how you can see him so up close and he is the focus of the image. The blue tinge around his feathers makes a very "cool blue effect".

I really like how clear and sharp the owl is with the blurry background. I think you did a good job with the editing with having an orange tint in the darker feathers and a blue tint in the lighter feathers. I don't think that you needed to do anything with the eyes because it wouldn't match the more natural look you where going for. I also really like the expression on the owl's face. Keep up the good work!

This is such a good picture! I really like how the lighting poses on the owl and it makes a colorful look. I also really like these effects that you used to edit this picture . The faded effect and the cropping method work very well together to focus the viewer's attention on the eyes of the owl. Overall this picture is really good and you did a good job at editing.

Cool pic bro! I really like the way that you made these colors come together. The blue and brown hues really go along well. Your depth of field was very good for this picture. The way that you sharpened this image also makes the owl pop. Overall, I really like this picture. Keep up the good work! - Heath M - HHS

I like this photo a lot! I like the sharpness of the photo and the color of the owl. I also like how the photo is zoomed in close so the full subject is the owl. The white on the owl has almost a blue color effect. Overall, I like this photo a lot!

This image is really nice. I love the color that you can see in the eyes of the owl. I think that I would increase the contrast to bring out the detail in the owl and make the eyes pop more.
