Lauren B- UNA Lion

I took this photo at the University of North Alabama when I went to visit. They have real lions in an enclosure on campus, which is pretty cool. I took this with my Canon Rebel Ti6, just as the male lion was yawning. I edited this photo by cropping in on just the lion and increasing the vibrance and contrast. I also lightened the background and made his fur slightly darker. I think this could be better if it was taken at a better angle or the background was better.

I really think this picture is really cool and an awesome shot. You caught the lion at the perfect time. Also, the picture is nice and clear. I like how you didn't do much editing and kept it looking natural. I agree that a different angle might have been cooler, like a side angle, but this is still great. REally great picture!! I've tried to get something like this many times so awesome job.

This is such a good picture! The fact that you were able to capture the moment when the lion was yawning is really interesting. I feel that the editing really gives it cool tones and thus there is a deep focus on the subject. The center of this picture is the mouth of the lion which is good because it created a scary tone, but very captivating as well. Good job!

I like how the eye is immediately drawn to the mouth. The contrast in colors looks good. The lion sticks out well due to the light background. The cropping looks nice. This photo looks like one that would be found in a zoo.
