Grant S.- Thoughts of The City

This picture is called “Thoughts of The City”. I edited this by turning the picture of Jahir black and white with silver Efex. I then did the same thing to the picture of the city. I then used the analog efex to use the double exposure tool. I could of made this picture better by cropping Jahir better.

Nice job Grant. I like how you decided to go with the black and white, it really works for this picture. The black and white do not over power each other, but instead work together. Also, I really think you did a great job choosing the city picture, it doesn't distract from the portrait.

This pic is really neat. I like how you put the city on him and I like how you made the background white. It lets you focus on him more. I think if you had his whole head in the pic it would look better but other than that its a cool pic.

This is my favorite out of all the pics you've posted. I like the way you edited your images because they ended up blending pretty good. Something I would change would be to clean up the rough edges in the edges of Jahirs face. Another thing I would do is make the background more white. I think you put two layers together and then blended them using a filter as well but that didn't really make the background full on white. You can still see some buildings and stuff. But yeah if the background was just completely white and the rough edges were cleaned up then it would be a clean image.

This is a really nice image! I really like how you can see the details of the person and the city because they do not feel like they over power each other. The concept of this is really cool, however you can still see the city faintly on the background and it would be cooler if it was just all white. Overall, really nice job!

This is a really cool picture, the blending of both photos are really good. The picture really explains what the title is. It would be even better if the background was completely white because you can still see a little bit of the other buildings. Overall great picture.

Cool pic! I really like the city on the subjects face. It's just so interesting. I also like how the guy is posed with his face looking outward and not any other way; it works well with the city picture that you selected. I agree with you that you could have cropped him better to make the picture better and you could take away all of the city background that is in the white to draw more attention to the actual subject. Overall, I really enjoy this picture. Keep up the good work! - Heath M - HHS

I really like this pic! I like the white background and The city blending in with him. i thinkit is really cool and creative. Im not sure if there is anything i would do to change the idea of the image, i do agree that the cropping around him is sort of choppy. I like the silver effect that you used. Really good!

I love this image! The black and white filters add a depth to the silhouette like image. I like the skyscraper detailing that you can still see through the face. The angle at which the Jahir is looking is also very artistic and ties the image together well. I don't think I would change anything about this picture. Great job!

I really like edits like this. Very simple, but a lot to look at at the same time. Good choice with making it black and white I think that helps it blend really well. Great composite!
