Alyssa R- Flower

This image is titled “Flower” because it is of a flower made of tights and wires. I took the image for the High and Low Key assignment and I held this flower against the light of a lamp which created the light and shadow in this image. I took this with my Canon Rebel T6 a couple of weeks ago. I placed a black and white filter on this image and then adjusted the levels to make it darker. I also colored the background black to make it all an even color. I think I could make the uneven spots on the flower an even color and get rid of all the fuzz that is lining it.

I like this picture! The framing of the image works well with the layers of the flower. However, I do wish you focused more on the entire flower. Maybe trying a different aperture next time to increase depth of field would work well. I enjoy the calm mood of an isolated flower of the image. Overall, nice picture.

I really liked how you took this picture was taken. I liked how you made it low key and it black and adjusted it to make it darker. I like how it gets the simple and calm mood to it. I, although I think you could have focused more on the flower-like, zoomed in more.

This is a really nice low key image and I like how you can see the light through the petals at the top. I do think that a different crop would work better because you are losing some of your image in the bottom corner. However, I kinda disagree with Dayne because I think the blur adds to the image. Good Job!

This picture is awesome! I love the way you edited this. I always love simple pictures with the black background, it makes the image look very dramatic. Only thing I would've done differently is get above the flower a little more.

I love this image Alyssa! The detail and dark tone are beautiful. The light and dark theme makes the image very dramatic and it looks amazing! I wouldn't change anything about this image because it is perfect as is.

Cool pic! I really like the black and white filter on this. It adds a lot of mystery to the picture. The idea and execution of this picture is great as well with the light thing, shadows, and not centering the flower. It all just adds to the picture. Overall, I think that this is an amazing photo. Keep up the good work! Heath M - HHS

I really like this picture!!! I would hang this on my way and look at it everyday! I like the black and white effect and how the flower is positioned. I also like how it is made of tights ad wires that's something you don't see a lot. Overall, I just can't get over how beautiful this picture is!!

this was a really good low key picture. the framing is also really good and how you exposed the right parts of the flower. and how you can still see he details within the petal and overall you did a really great job!

Really nice picture! I like the effect of the light coming through the flower because it was a creative idea and it also gives it a balance between dark and light. I also like how the image is in black and white because it overall gives it a dramatic tone. The only thing I would change is if the flower was a little bit more in focus. Overall, I like the tone that this image captures.
