Nicole T - Hibiscus

The title of this image is Hibiscus. It was taken in late July at Aldridge Gardens right after rain. It was taken with a Sony Cybershot. I edited it by increasing the saturation and vibrance. I also sharpened the raindrops and blurred the background little more. It could be better if I was able to zoom out a little more so that the bottom petal wasn’t almost cut out of the picture.

Absolutely breathtaking! Amazing job! I would like to applaud you for your wonderful use of the saturation/vibrance because it really makes the flower pop. The rain drops really add a wonderful feel of depth and perspective. I agree if it was zoomed out just a tad you could feel the whole flower more but it is still beautiful as is. Great work!

Awesome pic! I really like the contrast in color from the red to the green (flower and grass). I also like the vivid raindrops on the petal. The focus is very well done and it draws attention to the flower more. I agree with you that you could have cropped it differently so that the bottom petal was not almost out of the shot, or you could zoom in. Overall, I believe that this is an excellent pic. Keep up the good work! - Heath M-HHS

Nice picture! The focus is very focused and has a nice blurred background. The colors are a little bright and I might have turned the saturation down a little bit. I do like the picture and I enjoy the water on the flower and the details that you managed to capture that tell the story of the rainy day.
