Ben F- Record Player

I took this picture using my digital slr. I had the settings on HDR so it could take the perfect picture. I then added a filter in the photomatix program and also sharpened it in photoshop. I then did the dodge and burn technique to make the albums stand out and to darken the carpet. I really like this picture because i love the old fireside warm feeling to the picture and they are my favorite albums i have.

Shelby A- Dancer

This photo is titled Dancer because one of the pictures is of a dancer. This picture is a composite of a ballerina, an avocado, and a metal wheel. I used the picture of the Ballerina for the hands and feet assignment, then i used the avocado for the high and low key assignment and then the metal wheel for the circle assignment. I combined them all and darkened them. I like how you can’t really see the avocados but you can see the tips of them from the light. Over all I liked what I did.

Hannah S- Rooster

I took this image at the Zoo over Christmas break. I took it with a Cannon Rebel T3. Editing wise I did very little, I only sharpened the birds overall appearance and feathers. I wouldn’t do anything different with this image, and I’m overall pleased with how it came out.

Anna Kathryn D- B'ham

This was taken for the panorama assignment. It was taken downtown at around 2 in the afternoon. It’s made up of 46 photos and after i merged them together in photoshop, i used the warp tool to shape it how i wanted. After that, i adjusted the contrast and then i used the HDR settings in photoshop to give it a chrome look.

Robert C - Lost Tracks

This is a picture of some railroad tracks near my house. I went exploring with my brother and according to my uncle there is a lost cave somewhere near my house. Im gonna go back and hopefully find it soon! This was not only a great area for shooting but also a great place to get away into nature! overall this picture turned out pretty good

Mason L - Vertical Panorama

This image was taken with my Nikon D7100. It is a panorama of 4 photos which gives it the crisper detail. What I liked about this image was the lighting and shadows. It was just a good time of day to shoot architecture. After sharpening the image a bit and increasing minor contrasting I applied black and white layer to 85% to still allow some color.

Sydney B- Carson

This picture is named “Carson”. It is of a boy that I babysit. I took this picture for the children assignment and I love the way that it turned out. I edited the picture by first cropping it a little then I added and edited a brightness and contrast layer. Then I edited the vibrance and saturation. After that I added a black and white layer and brought beck some of the color. I also edited the curves. Overall i absolutely love his picture and i wouldn’t change a thing.

Kelley M- Rainbow Vases

My picture is called ‘Rainbow Vases’, it was taken at the Bluff Park Art Show in October. It was taken with my Canon Rebel t3i, i edited it with photoshop. I stitched together (it is a panorama), and upped the vibrance on each section, with multiple filters. I am not really sure what could be better about it, but am open for suggestions.

Meredith V - Anna

This is a photo I took of my friend Anna downtown on Morris Avenue over Christmas Break. I did very limited editing on this photo. I increased the contrast and the brightness. I wish that the cars were not in the background. Overall I like the simplicity of the shot.

Rebecca G- Downtown

I took this picture downtown on Morris Avenue. I took it with my digital Nikon camera. I edited it by adjusting the brightness, hue and saturation, color balance and vibrance. I cropped the picture so that it focused more on the building and I used dodging and burning to add highlights. I brought out the color of the bricks and made the reflections in the window clearer. I wish that there was a little more color in the picture.

IsaacE- Fly Composite

This was one of my favorite pics from the composite assignment. It has 2 base texture layers, 4 subject layers, 1 mid texture layer, and one foreground filter layer. It is called Fly Composite because all 4 of the subjects have “fly” in their name. I really like how it turned out, and would not change anything.

Matthew E- Blue Fountain

The base picture of this composite is a bird bath by my house in the morning which gives it that yellowish glow next i added the a picture of bricks. Then to get the blue color i added a picture of the sky and contrasted it t give it a deeper color. i really like this photo because of the contrast and i would not change anything.

Allison S- Light Tunnel Pano

I took this photo for the panorama assignment last week. The entire photo is composed of about 75 pictures or so which is why they were able to line then up so well. After photoshop merged the photos together, I didn’t really do anything to edit this other than playing with the curves and vibrance. Im really happy with how this image turned out and I wouldn’t change anything about it.

John Michael A - F35 Lightning II

The title of this image is F35 Lightning II. I shot this image of the new fighter jet at the U.S. Navy Blue Angels air show in Pensacola, Florida using my Canon T3i. I used a lens flare, several filters, the liquify tool, and HDR adjustments in Photomatix Pro 5 to alter the image. I like this image a lot.

Ashley G- Raindrop Leaf

This photo is called Raindrop Leaf. It was taken at my grandmother’s house during the morning. This photo was taken with my Canon Rebel t3. When I edited this photo, I added a filter and made it brighter so the color in the raindrops was more vibrant. This could be better if the lower left corner was a little clearer.

Matthew E- Two Birds

This image is a composite of two images one of two birds and another of a reflection of trees and houses on a lake. i really like the colors in this photo as well as the way the two images blend together. I really like this photo but i would have liked the bottom to be bit brighter.
