John Michael A - Kukri

This image is titled Kukri. I shot this image of my kukri machete in a piece of wood for the low key assignment. I photographed it with my Canon T3i. I added several filters and slightly adjusted the exposure, contrast, and darkness. I love the detail of the wood and the blade.

I really like this picture. It looks like an ad for the machete company. I like the colors and the rustic look. Overall great photo!

I like how the focus of the shot is at the tip of the blade, it makes the image flow well. This is definitely a good example of a low key shot. The circles in the blade also look cool. overall, great shot!

I really like how your eye is immediately drawn to the knife because of the contrast in colors. I also really like how it’s placed and the details of the knife are in focus while the background is blurred. Nice job!

This is awesome! The contrast between the blade and the dark background makes it stand out a lot. I also like how much detail is visible on the knife. Good job!

I like how this picture really brings out the details in the machete and in the wood through their contrasting colors and textures. The utilization of the rule of thirds really brings the eye to the subject right away, which is nice. To make it even better, you could have lightened the wood a little bit to bring out the texture and details a little better, though it still looks good how it is.

I like this picture because of the blurriness on the knife before it gets to the sharp end and before it touches the wood. I also like how you can see the thickness of the knife through the details on the knife, so the angle was a good shot. Great job!!!

I like this entire image, the rule of thirds is followed, the lighting is good, the texture the wood has is nice. The only thing I would suggest is to get the entire kukri in focus, it's only slightly out of focus father towards the base.
