Catherine S- Amidst the Destruction

This image was taken with my macro lens in the front yard of an abandoned house. I decided to take this picture because it was a contrast of life amidst the destruction of the property. I edited this by adding vibrance, then decreasing the saturation. I added a black and white layer, but lowered the opacity so that it would look a little bit grungy. I also edited the basic brightness and contrast. I wish there wasn’t a strand of my hair to the right side of the picture, but I like how it turned out.

I like this photo a lot, the texture is very soft to match the vibrant yet desaturated color and the composition serves to draw the eye right to the bloom. Very nice photo

I think this is a wonderful picture! I love that the background is blurry so that focus is on the bloom. The colors are nice and soft. Great composition!

This is a really pretty picture, Catherine. It's so soft and the tones are perfect. I like desaturated pictures a lot, and this one looks very nice. I like the strand of hair because its almost hidden and you really have to look to see it. Good job!

Great picture. I like the dullness of the background and how it really makes the yellow of the flower pop. The color of the flower gives this picture a little glimmer of hope which is really cool. Nice job.
