Katie W- Light Orbital

I took this picture for the demo project. I did this picture by setting my camera to a shutter speed to 30 seconds. I tied a rope to a whisk, and I put steel wool inside the whisk and lighted it on fire. I got a friend to swing the rope and spine around so the end of the whisk hits the concrete to produce sparks. I didn't do much editing to this picture other than lightening the background to show more detail. Im very happy with the way this picture turned out.

This photo is very cool. I love the lighting and the way the sparks fly in all directions from the center circle. The lines in all directions looks great. The reflection of the circle shows a darker more detailed circle which looks great. I am curious what was used to make that but I wouldn't change anything.

This is a really good picture. I love how you did this and how it turned out. It is a good technique to use to get a picture. The long exposure is really great and the color looks nice. It looks like fireworks and cool. Good job!

I really want to try this at some point. I think the product came out really great! I love how the sparks are flying everywhere. I really like the one random spark flying toward the camera because it shows how many directions and how far all the sparks flew during the process. I also like the reflection of the sparks off the water. I think it really adds to the picture. Over all a great picture!
