I took this picture in my back yard. I liked how the one leaf stood out from the rest. To edit this I changed the brightness and contrast. Then I blurred the background more.

lakeshia B- Never Forgotten
I told this photo in down town for the leaves assignment. I boosted the colors throughout the photo and i cleaned up the side walk and changed the color. In the center i made it so the it was filed with more leaves.
Mary L- Low Key
I took this picture for the high key and low key assignment. I cropped down the picture and also changed it to black and white. For the exposure I turned it down to negative 1 and also adjusted the curves. I really like how this turned out.
Shelby C- Blue Circles
This Picture is a blue jacket at Forever 21a few weeks ago, for the circles project. I love the colors in this picture. edited this by adding contrast and I added the box blur to draw your eyes to the buttons.
Emily W- Hand and Hourglass
I took this photo for the Hands and Feet assignment. I took the picture in the studio in the back room. I usually keep the editing really simple. I adjusted the levels, brightness, and contrast.

Samantha D- Unknown Soldier
I took this picture over the summer at Arlington Cemetery. I adjusted the contrast and made the image a little sharper.
Tripp S- Kilt Wearing Gentleman
This was taken at the Moss Rock art festival. This kilt wearing gentlman was a blacksmith selling iron working stuff and things. I am very happy with this shot just because of the contrast of cooler colors in the foreground and warmer fall colors in the background. Tr
Ashley V- Chelsea
This is a picture of my friend Chelsea, I was taking her senior pictures for her. I really liked the leaves and how they were definitely fall. All i really did for this picture was ad some vibrance and saturation. Its the perfect cliché fall picture. Thats probably what i like most.

Katie .- Ballerina Feet
I took this picture of the hands and feet project. I took this picture at my friend’s dance studio. I laid down on the floor with my camera and just started taking pictures. I edited this picture my lightening the image, and adjusted the levels, then I made the picture black and white. I really like how the picture turned out, I like how the front foot is more in focus than the back foot. But I wish that I zoomed out more to show more of the front leg. Overall, I’m happy with the outcome!
Amelia S- Cracked Face
I edited this picture for our demo project. I followed instructions from a website and the end product turned out like this. I didn’t edit the image much I just adjusted the shadows and highlights once I was finished editing the crack. I think it turned out really good
Stephanie P- Chair
I took this picture for the circles, chairs, or doors assignment. I was taking pictures of circles, but this picture works for chairs also. The first thing I did was make the background back and white and then I boosted the saturation on the whole picture to make the background have darker blacks and to make the chair pop more. I am really happy with how this picture turned out.

Will C- Make it Levitate
I took this picture a few weeks ago on morris ave in Downtown Bham. I had to take two pictures and blend them together, and erase the stool abbey was laying on. I like how it turned out. If I could change it, I would have her in better lighting. Her body is too dark and the background is too light. Also, her hair is sort of spotty from when I had to clone stamp her hair. Overall I am happy with it and I think it turned out good for my first levitation attempt.

Emily B- Leaf Detail
This picture was taken on the Ross Bridge Trail a few weeks ago. I boosted the contrast, boosted the saturation, and blurred the background. I painted black to the background that was already dark just to make the background less distracting from the subject. I also painted black on the veins on the leaves to try and bring out as much details as possible. I’m really pleased with the final product.
Jenna O- Olivia Foot
I took this picture for the hands and feet assignment. While I completely hate feet, I really like this picture because the chalk on her foot brings out the imprint of her foot…. granted this girl is like 9 years old and has a child’s foot (that’s why it’s so cute!). I changed the levels to bring out the texture and boosted exposure.
Maia S- XC State 2013
This is a picture of the guys who painted up and the guys who ran at the state xc meet. i took two pictures to make this panorama then put them together it took a lot of work to get them to line up but they finally did. i also adjusted the contrast and cropped some of the back ground out.

Abbey W- Flare
I took this picture for the hands and feet assignment. I made the image black and white and played with the brightness and contrast. I added a lens flare and put a mask on the image to paint with black around it. this image is alright but i like it.
Victoria D- Birds
I took this picture at the beach. I set my camera to as high key as possible and took this picture so that only the dark color of the birds would show. i edited it by making the colors of the birds darker. i also cloned stamped a lot of it to add more subject to the super white photo. If i could change anything i wish the bird on the left was more in focus.
Alex E- Mushroom
I took this photo over this past summer in Kentucky. I found this mushroom in my Aunt and Umcle’s back yard. I thought it looked unique and the I loved the red color with the white spots. I edited with simple editing techniques with level, brightness/contrast, color adjustment, shadowing, sharpening, blur in the background, and spot healing tool.

Yesenia S - Hands and Feet
This image was taken for the Hands and Feet assignment. I actually ended up liking it because of the angle it was shot. I edited this photo my adjusting the levels and colors. I also added a Gaussian Blur Filter and used the Brush Tool to focus more on her hands. Overall, I liked it pretty much.

Catherine S- Clear Waters
This photograph is titled “Clear Waters” and was tank in the Smokies. I edited this image using the pictorial effect and adjusting some basic curves and lighting. It was taken on a Canon Rebel t3. My favorite part of this image is the clear green water. The only thing I would change about it is some of the bright white light reflecting off the water, but I like how it turned out.

Lakeshai B- Emily
I took this for the low key assignment of Emily. I colored in the black background and change the lighting i was really happy with the look i got in hear faces.
Maia S- Hogwarts
i took this on my trip to orlando with the cross country team. i loved the way the sun was hitting the side of 'Hogwarts' and how the moon is just above it. i wish it was a little more in focus but i think that is the best i can get from my camera and how dark it was outside.
Mariah M- Little Bit and Buddy
This is a picture I took the week my aunt came and stayed with us. These are two of her sweet little puppies. They are the most playful dogs and it was actually quite hard to get a somewhat good picture of them, but I ended up with this one, and Im happy with it! To edit it, all I did was crop it because there was a lot of unnecessary grass in the background and I also messed with the curves a bit to mess with the color of it some. But all in all I am happy with how it came out!
Morgan Ann C- In A Different Light
I took this picture in the stairwell of C hall. I took it during the period with light coming throughout the window. I made it black and white and adjusted the curves. I put a white layer over the picture and made the adjustment to difference. and masked the rest of it so it was just the windows.

Haley Y- Leaf
This picture I adjusted the brightness and contrast. So that the leaf stands out against the plane background. I also selected the back ground and made it black and white. I took tho picture in my front yard, of a leaf that had just fallen.
Katie W- Light Orbital
I took this picture for the demo project. I did this picture by setting my camera to a shutter speed to 30 seconds. I tied a rope to a whisk, and I put steel wool inside the whisk and lighted it on fire. I got a friend to swing the rope and spine around so the end of the whisk hits the concrete to produce sparks. I didn't do much editing to this picture other than lightening the background to show more detail. Im very happy with the way this picture turned out.
Stephanie P- Katie
I took this picture for the hands and feet assignment. I really like how her face is blurry and her fingers are in focus. I edit the curve of this picture to make the colors brighter. I really like this picture.
Tripp S- At Bluff Park
This was taken at the Bluff Park Art Show with my Canon A1. This exposure was made on Velvia 100 by Fuji, a modern day slide slide film. Though the developing process was rather tedious (I had to wait over 2 weeks for my slides to come back from a lab in Florida) it was totally worth it. Never have I seen a film record color so accurately or with such saturation. Obviously it was scanned and minor edits were done in Lightroom.

Jenna O - White pumpkins
I took this picture this past weekend. We had white pumpkins for a wedding party. I love the lighting and the angle. I boosted the exposure and changed the levels and curves and added a layer mask to bring out texture.
Shelby C- Pepsi
I took this photo a Tanneill State Park a few weeks after school started. I edited this picture by brightening the curves. And I added highlights and bumped up the saturation. I love this photo because I love advertising, and I love the bright colors.
Victoria D- Grace
I took this picture at the beach of a feather. I set the camera to as high key as you possibly can go to take this picture. I edited it by sharpening the picture, i cloned stamped a lot of the pieces of sand to make the back ground not seem so white. I love this picture because of how detailed the feather looks. I also like how it look a like a painting gives people a different perspective of photograpghy.
Ashley V-Broken
I named this picture Broken. I like it just cause the coloring of the bark i added in and it just makes the picture different. I like it but i could definitely make changes like the lighting and where the bark stands but it was good like that so i left it alone.

Emily B- MGMT
This is another one of my composites. I took pictures from the lake: a leaf, the lake. and the trees around the lake. I messed with the levels and boosted the contrast and saturation. I love how crazy it looks!

Samantha D- Remembrance
I took these photos when i visited Washington D.C over the summer. One picture is from Arlington Cemetery and the other is the Vietnam Veterans Memorial Wall. I created a composite image and adjusted the color and added a grainy effect to part of the wall to make the face of the soldier marching look older.
Tripp S- Flowers
This photo was taken as part of the high and low key assignment but came out as a very nice full tonal range image. The black and white was not so much as artistic choice but a correction I used to compensate for the color fringing caused by the FD mount lens I used. I edited this image obviously by converting to black and white and using the color channels to give the different parts of the flower their own individual shade. Also the contrast was increased and the noise was slightly reduced.

Emily W- Low Key Portrait
I took this picture for the High and Low Key assignment. I desaturated the image and adjusted the levels, brightness, contrast and the shadows/highlights. I am really proud of this low key image. I think it turned out wonderfu

Will C- Hand
I guess I'll name this picture hand, because I'm not creative enough to come up with a name. I took this picture in Tampa, Florida this summer. I picked up this shell and snapped a picture with my hand and it turned out good. I selected my hand to desaturate it, increased saturation on the shell, and painted the hand to try and match the tones.
Yesenia S - Low Key
This picture was take in the photography studio and used for the High & Low Key assignment. I edited this photo by blurring the image to make her skin look smooth and soft. I also changed Catherine's eye color and adjusting the levels. Overall, I liked how this image turned out.
Catherine S- Toe Shoes
This picture was taken in the digital photography studio. I edited this image by overlaying a desaturated layer and adjusting the opacity. I also played with the curves and levels. It is slightly desaturated and has increased contrast. I like how this image turned out.
Abbey W- Spare Tire
This photo was taken in my drive way of my spare tire. I propped it up against the fence with my car lights facing it so i wouldn't have to use a flash. Its a low key image. I love how the final thing turned out. I added filters, duplicated the background and changed the blending modes a couple of times. I also bumped up the saturation. I wish it had more rainbow colors than some of the oranges and browns but overall i like it.

Mary L- High Key
This is a picture from the high key and low key assignment. I used the studio backdrop and lighting to take this. In photoshop i adjusted the shadows and highlights and also adjusted the curve. I really like how this picture turned out.
Ashley V- Railroad Park
This Picture is from Railroad Park and i enhanced the color and cropped it. Thats about all I did. The things i would to change it is remove all the shadowing.
