This is The Nebulous Place. It was taken at Aldridge Gardens on March 2, 2026. It was taken with my iPhone 15 Pro Max. It was originally a panorama assignment that I edited. Then when I played with the photo, I got the misty look in the photo. I am pretty sure it was the dehaze setting. It could’ve been better if I recolor it to make it more hazy.

Kye W – Tangled Control
This image, Tangled Control, was taken in Birmingham, Alabama in early 2026 using a Canon Rebel T7 with a standard lens. The photo focuses on a hand wrapped in red string, symbolizing tension, control, and the invisible forces that bind people emotionally or socially. I edited the image by converting it to black and white to create a timeless, dramatic feel, while selectively keeping the red string colored to emphasize its symbolic importance. I also added grain and slight vignette effects to give it a worn, almost haunting atmosphere. The composition draws attention to the hand’s openness contrasted with the restriction of the string, suggesting a struggle between freedom and entrapment. This image could be improved by sharpening the focus slightly on the fingertips and adjusting lighting to create stronger contrast between the hand and background. Overall, the piece explores themes of control, identity, and unseen pressure, aligning with my interest in visual storytelling and emotional expression.

Kais C- Forgotten Nostalgia
This was taken in the Hoover Theater room the original one, it was taken in March of 2026 I edited it heavily using raw image filter and went through the filters to give it a nice feeling of a forgotten place, and forgotten memories. I think I could’ve done a better job but Im not sure what I should’ve done.
Irais B-C - Roc In Guater
I took this picture when the class went to the trail to take pictures for the HDR. It was taken on my phone and I chose the hdr filter called creative then on the camera raw setting, i brought out the colors and details. I think It would’ve been better if the rock beside the main one was a little darker and wasn’t so bright.
Victoria S- Enchanted Lake
This picture is called “Enchanted Lake” because it looks like something taken out of a fairytale. I took this image at Aldridge Gardens on March 8th. I took this photo with my Nikon camera. I edited this picture by decreasing the clarity and texture to give it a hazy, glowing effect. I honestly don’t really know how I could make this image better. I’m really happy with how it turned out.

Nabeyal K - The Darnell
This is called The Darnell. I did this a week ago. I edited it by adding my car inside Darnell. I made this as a composite. I could make it better by adding more filters.
Darnell C ~ Diddy Blud's Party
I call it Diddy Blud’s Party. I took the background Augest 17th and the picture of Nabeyal on the 19th, while the picture of me was on September 29th. I took the pictures with a phone. I edited it by cutting out Nabeyal and putting us in the prison picture, and added red lights on the eyes for fun.
Shelby S- Quiet Light
This portrait, which I would title “Quiet Light,” was taken indoors against a simple white backdrop. The image was shot with a digital camera using a portrait setup and soft, directional lighting to create strong shadows and highlights across the subject’s face. In editing, warm tones were enhanced—especially the subtle light leak effect at the bottom—to give the photo a nostalgic, almost film-inspired feel, while contrast was adjusted to emphasize depth and mood. The natural expression and candid pose make the image feel intimate and authentic. It could be improved slightly by softening some of the harsher shadows on the face or adjusting the framing to give a bit more breathing room above the head. Overall, the combination of warm lighting, relaxed posture, and minimal background creates a compelling and emotionally expressive portrait.
Surya P - Are We Great Yet?
I took this image Downtown a few weeks ago on my Nikon D750. I didn’t edit it much other than bringing the exposure up because it shot really dark. I didn’t really want to make it overly bright or overly edited because of the meaning behind the image. I tried to crop it but I didn’t love the way it turned out. I think overall I do like the image, but I think I like the meaning behind it rather than the actual image.

Angel M- Flower
The title of this image is Flower. I took it in my backyard last year. This was taken with my Canon camera. I edited it by increasing the saturation and using multiple Nik Collection filters. It could be better if I zoomed out more.
Kaleb G- Untitled
I took the photo at home with my phone and I turned it black and white and maybe if it was like a main image I could have edited a bit more.
Victoria S- Autumn Evening
This image is called “Autumn Evening” because the warmth of the reds and yellows remind me of the fall season. I took this photo on December 12th at the Preserve. I used my Nikon camera to capture this picture. I edited it in Photoshop by increasing the saturation and reducing the noise to make the image appear more smooth. I also added a vintage filter to give the photo a warm tone to it. Overall, I’m really happy with how this turned out. However, I do wish the car was more centered behind my subject.
Hayden C - Flying Venus
This photo is named after the subject, my friend’s dog Venus. She’s still a puppy and was very difficult to get pictures of due to how wiggly she is. This photo was taken along with a series of other photos of the same friend’s dog as they did agility. I especially enjoyed this photo because of the way Venus’s tongue is sticking out, as well as the motion in her ears and legs.
I edited this photo by lightening the shadows so you could actually see her and making everything warmer. I brought up the greens so that you could see her collar and the pinks for her tongue.
