This image was taken in July at Old Bryce in Tuscaloosa. I used a Sony Cybershot and adjusted the colors slightly. I wish it were a higher resolution and the lighting had been more dramatic, but I’m very happy with it as is.

Joseph R- Pasture
This image was taken in July at Old Bryce in Tuscaloosa. I used a Sony Cybershot and adjusted the colors slightly. I wish it were a higher resolution and the lighting had been more dramatic, but I’m very happy with it as is.
Alex B- Woman On The Wall
“Woman On The Wall” is the name I gave this photo. This photo was taken on September 5, 2022 at this abandoned church right by my house. I took this photo with my Canon Rebel T3, I added noise, used the nik collection and i sharpened the image. If it was taken at a better angle, i don't like the way the wall looks on the side of the photo but i wanted the face to fully be there.

Caeden H- Smile for the Camera
This image is entitled “Smile for the Camera”. I took this picture at a restaurant in downtown Birmingham on Labor day. I took this picture with a Canon rebel XSi. To edit this picture I did some basic editing like increasing the contrast and whatnot. Then I put a NIK collection filter over it. This picture I fairly simple so I do not know what I would do to make it better. I like this picture though just because I like the vibe.
Mia N - Car
This picture was taken at the tip top in Bluff Park in the car. It was taken with my phone, and it is completely unedited. It could probably be bette if I edited a little bit.

Aiden S - Taken Down Town
This photo was taken for the site image assignment. I have taken it with my canon t7 rebel. I took the photo downtown and I made some of the graffiti say HHS with a little camera at the end of it. I think it could be better if I could of made it blend in more with the picture and make it clear to see by maybe sharpening the paintbrush.
Maddie T- Peter McPoland
This is a photo I took of Peter McPoland with my Canon T-100 as he was opening up for Twenty One Pilots at Bridgestone Arena in Nashville. I was on the media team for this show, meaning I had access to the photo pit and other designated photography places. I edited it by turning it black and white but that was pretty much it. It was shot with a 50 mm lens
A'Kelsa N- Euphoria
The title Euphoria. It was take in the photo lab last week. It was taken with Mr.Rigsby camera. I added a photo on top of the original. Not so brassy I took this for my story illustration.

Linley W- Birmingham Bird
This picture is titled Birmingham Bird. I took this picture at the Birmingham Zoo on Father’s Day over the summer with my Nikon camera. I edited this picture by increasing the saturation, sharpening the picture, and adding some highlights and shadows within the picture. I darkened the surroundings and background in order to bring the bird into focus. I also added some brightness to the eye in order to make the eye stand out. This picture could be better if it was a it less saturated. Overall, I really like this picture and am proud of how it turned out. I also do wish that the feathers on the body had a little bit more detail to them.
Bess H - The Ship
This image is titled “The Ship” because it is a picture of the football stadium at Hoover High School. I took this photo about a month ago and it was taken around 3 pm. I used my Canon 4000D. I merged an image of the middle of the field on top of the bleachers section. I changed the photo black and white and then added some gradients to the image. I think that there is a loot that can be better about this image.
Ayla S- Butterfly
The title of this photograph is, “Butterfly” because it is a photograph of my friend’s butterfly necklace. This was taken on September 13th, 2022 in my front yard. It was taken with my Canon Rebel T6 camera. To edit this photo, I sharpened the necklace, and added a grain filter. It could be a little better if the butterfly was in better focus.
Nora G- Under Water
This is a picture of my friend that I took while we were out swimming. I only fixed the light a little bit but I didn't really edit it much. It could be better in many ways but I think it turned out good compared to the other ones I got that day.
Paris C- Nature + Dog
I titled this image as Nature + Dog because I like how calm it looks when they look together. It was taken outside of where I live on the balcony. It was taken with my phone. I used most of the sun as lighting plus some shadows, but I edited it a little by making the shadows of the plant and the dog darker and better. I like how it is. This is a pretty image.

Aidan P- Oil Painting
This picture was taken at my Aunt and Uncles’s house about a year ago of a plant called leatherleaf mahonia. After I took it I cropped it and used an oil paint filter. I made sure there was enough detail from the original image and the oil paint to balance it out pretty good. Overall in my opinion it looks pretty good and the oil paint looks good with the design plant.
Allie S- Bluff Park
The title of my image is Bluff Park. It was taken in Bluff Park about a month ago. It was taken with a Canon Rebel XS. I edited it with the nik collection and a little with the photos app. I would have liked to get a better angle.

Mia N - Bella
I took it at my brothers house downtown the week before school started. I took this picture with my phone. I edited this by sharpening the image and adding a gradient filter. I think if I had taken the picture from farther away and the lighting was brighter it would have looked better.
Paris C- Memories
This image that I submitted is called Memories, because it was a picture last year of my friend Madison and she was a senior which means she is not here anymore. I was taken outside in the courtyard of Hoover High and was taken somewhere in february. It was taken with one of my teacher’s cameras. I edited it by making it kind of look like a popout, I made her stand out, and I darken the corners to make the color standout as well. In my opinion it couldn’t be better because I like how it is. It is what it is!
Shae M- Book Stack
The title of my image is ‘Bookstack’. It was taken in my backyard in April of this year. It was taken with my Nikon D3500. I edited it by using the Nik collection filters, raising the brightness and contrast, and also sharpening the image. It could be better if it was cropped differently/taken at a different angle, and it could also be better if it was more in focus.
Martha Claire D- Twilight
The title of this image is Twilight. This particular photo was taken June 11, 2022 when I was in Mexico Beach, Florida with my best friend. The photograph was taken on my IPhone 11 because that’s what I had. I edited this photo by increasing the brightness, clarity, and the saturation of the image so that the sky would pop more. I wish that the photo was clearer and that my friend was able to stand out more.
MaKena C - Pumpkins
The name of the photo is Pumpkins because I’m not creative. It was taken in June at my paternal grandmother’s house. I took it with my phone. She has a lot of abstract things just laying around. I don’t remember exactly what I did. I just know that the saturation did get turned up.
Maddie T- Ross Lynch
This Photo is a photo of the actor/singer Ross Lynch. I was on the press team at his band, “The Driver Era's” most recent show in Birmingham and got this photo! It was taken with my EOS t-100 and a 50 mm lens. I didn't really edit it too much because the lighting was already really harsh
CAROLINE M- Prom
This photo is titled Prom, it was taken April 15th, 2022 at the University of Montevallo. I took this photo with my Nikon D3300. I edited this by fixing the brightness and adding vibrance, this wasn’t my favorite photo from prom and I definitely should have made them do more interesting poses.
Carol A- Cotton Candy
The title of this image is Cotton Candy. It was taken on my trip to California last summer and it was taken with a Canon EOS. I think it could have been better if it had made the background a little more clear.
Alex B- Bad Habit
This image is of Jordan, I named it “Bad Habit” after a song by Steve Lacy. This photo was taken on th 2nd of August at the galleria. This photo was taken with my Cano EOS rebel t3. I used photoshop to crop, saturate, blur, add noise, and sharpen the image. It could be better if it was from a different angle and you could see more of Jordan.
