Matthew W- Pyramid

I titled this image “Pyramid” because the rider is at the top of a pyramid. I took it at a park in north Alabama during a jam. I made the image black and white and messed with the level of the colors until I liked how everything was shaded. I increased the contrast to bring out the shadows a little, and removed some trees from the background to keep it simple. I could have cropped in so that it obeyed the rule of thirds more but I like how open it is.

Rere H- Cheers

My photo is called Cheers. I took this photo last year with a fujifilm fine pix camera! i edited this picture by adding tint to the glasses and making the background black and white i also edited the cloth under the glasses . this picture would have been better if i didn’t edit the cloth !!

Kate M.-Paulina

I took this Picture last week at the Botanical Gardens. I took this inside the greenhouse with my canon t3. This is a picture of my friend Paulina that I took for her senior pictures. This is my favorite because I like how its a candid and I like how her hair looks. To edit this I whitened  her teeth and took some redness out of her skin. I also dodged and burned to make her stand out more. Overall, I’m really proud of this picture.

Justin C- Self Portrait

This image is just a very basic portrait with a eh’ bit of editing to it. I changed the vibrance and levels to change the look of the lighting. Adjusting the curves to change the contrast and just brushing up on face blemishes and such.

Chloe J- Red

Took this photo of a girl a few months ago with my Canon Xsi. To edit it I cropped it and added contrast and edited her skin and shaded in some areas, I like it but theres still a lot I could could do to make it better.

Jordan H- Water

The title of my selected image is called water because I took this for the water assignment. I took this at a pond in my neighborhood near the end of October. I took this with my Canon d mark iii and my 50mm lens. I manipulated the light and hue of this photo heavily. It was a brownish-greenish color to begin with and I changed it to a greenish-turquoise just for fun. I wanted to do something different. I think this photo could be better if there were more ripples instead of just the one.

Lupita G - Foggy Morning

I took this picture at tip top one foggy morning. I put it in black and white because the colors of the picture came out really weird. I tried to make the fog stand out more too

Ryan F- Trees on Cars

The title of this image is “Trees on Cars.” It was taken in the Hoover High School parking lot on November 29th, 2016. It was taken with a Canon Rebel T5i. It could be better if the depth was better.

Hunter F - Pike’s Peak View

I took this photo at Pike’s Peak last year. In order to edit it, I added in some saturation and contrast in order to enhance the color in the picture. I think that the photo would be better if it was centered more on the mountains behind it. But otherwise, it is a very good photo to take.

Grant S.- Autumn

This photo is titled “Autumn”. I took it with my Nikon for the Leaves assignment. I edited it by adding a little vibrance to it. It could be better if it was more focused.

Bella M- Lost In My Mind

This picture was taken in Nashville about a month ago with a 50mm lens and a canon t3i and i just photoshopped the picture of the storm on top. I made the bottom image black and white and played with the exposure initially. This picture portrays the chaos that can go on in our heads. And many times, no one knows because we keep it to ourselves. It can drive us mad.

Ashley W- Child Trapped

I took this at Simmons Middle school in October. I edited this by dodging and burning and playing around with the hue and saturation. I didn’t do much to the image because I really liked how raw it is. If I were to change anything I’d probably have gotten him to put his left hand farther away from his face, but overall I really liked how this turned out.

Dayne M- Snow Bird

I took this picture over Thanksgiving break near Buffalo, NY. It was taken with my Nikon D5500 and edited by adding another image, brightening the image, and bumping the hue and saturation up. It could be better if the background wasn’t so distracting. Overall, I’m happy with the way the picture turned out.

Hunter F- The Gift Bag- Low Key

This is a photo I did for the High Key, Low Key assignment. To edit this, I lowered down the brightness, and increased the contrast. This helps to make it distinguishable from the background. However, I think it would be better if it was brighter to help it stand out.

Jordan H- Pink Seat

I took this picture in my house for the chairs, doors, and circles assignment. I took this with my Canon 5D Mark iii and my 50mm 1.4 lens. I made the hue and shadows pink, increased the exposure in the top corner of the picture to give it a glow, ad increased the contrast and sharpness. I also cropped and adjusted the angle of the picture as well. I think it could be better if I took the time to soften the bottom or make it where you can’t tell when the top or bottom starts.

Jakie R - Simple 5

I took this picture in early October. I worked with auto color etc in Photoshop. I removed some flowers and cropped in. This could be better if it didn't have so much noise.

Grant S.- Montgomery

This photo is titled Montgomery. I took it with my Nikon over the summer from a hotel roof. It could be better if it was more focused. I edited it with Analog Efex and Photoshop.

Ben D- Richard Arrington Jr

This title of this photo is “Richard Arrington Jr” due to the fact that this photo looking down Richard Arrington Jr Boulevard. I took this photo with my Canon t5i and a 55-250mm lens. I didn’t have a tripod on me so i kinda just shoved the camera up against the edge of the parking deck we were on so I could get a stable semi-long exposure. There was a bit of noise in the photo due to how dark it was so I just kinda ran with it and added a bit of grain to mask the noise and made it black and white in an attempt to hopefully give off a film vibe. Overall, I like the photo and the composition, but would’ve used a tripod if I had one on me.
