Jakelyn R- Bad Z

I took this picture with my Canon 60D several days ago with my friend Luis & his car. I added some exposure and turned up the contrast to add more detail. I also added a warm filter towards the background & added a b&w filter, played with those colors & turned it down for a faded look. this would be better if I had taken it with a different background, but besides that I’m still proud of this image.

Lupita G- Be Alright

I took this the day we went on a field trip. It was cloudy and it was about to rain. I had different possible final images but I just liked how it looked in Black & White, and yea thats my best friend. I tried to blur the background which didn’t come out as good as I would have liked to but here you get the idea.

Kate M.- Friend at the Botanical Gardens

I took this picture of my friend at the botanical gardens this weekend. I took it with my canon rebel t3. I didn’t do much to edit this just changed the levels and added a warm filter. I also used the dodge tool to make her stand out more. I really like how the flowers look and how her hair looks against them. If i could change this I would try to get less of a blur on some of the flowers.

Sara W- Glass

I took this photo for my texture assignment. I put the glass on top of a piece of plastic and placed a light and gel filters under it. I didn’t have a micro so I didn’t get a lot of detail. I feel like it would be a lot better if i had used a micro but I think it turned out ok.

Brody G- That Dude In Blue

The title of this image is That Dude In Blue because he is the subject of the photo. This was taken at Battleground Skate Ministry last weekend at Style Driven, a car show hosted by OkeyDokeBrand. I took this with my sony a6000. This couldn’t be better in any way because I take only the best photos:)

Bella M- Handy Work

This photo was taken in the studio with a Pentax last week. I like the the focus being on the ring and the fingers because it brings out the detail but how you can still see the other jewelry but it is not in focus and does not distract. I think the black and white also adds to the detail of the photo. This could be better in many ways.

Kristin S- Roses

I took this picture at the Birmingham Botanical Gardens with my Canon XS. To edit this photo I adjusted the brightness and contrast, sharpened the image and made it black and white.

Sabrina S- Pretty Birds

I took this at the zoo with my 50 mm lens, I really love this photo- and there isn’t really anything that I would change.

Hannah S- Ashton

I took this picture at my house using Sara’s big studio-like lights. Editing wise I separated the frequency on her skin, brightened it up a lot, and then boosted the contrast. I also turned down the reds to make her skin look less shinny. Overall I’m very pleased with this image.

John Michael A - Coyote

I took this photo at the Birmingham Zoo using my Canon 6D and 50mm lens. I shot it at ISO 200, aperture f/2.8, and shutter speed 1/200. I edited it in Photoshop and added a NIK filter.

Davis D- 1st Generation Gallardo

The title of this image is “1st Generation Gallardo”. This is one of my favorite photos from my Nashville trip to Cars and Coffee. I have been waiting over a year to take a photo of this car and I finally got the opportunity. I took this on a Saturday morning around eight AM. I took this with my Canon 7D Mark ii and a 50mm f/1.8. I edited this in Lightroom and played around with the color of the car and the clarity. Overall I am very happy how this image turned out.

Amber S- Hardware

I took this picture in bluff park a few weeks ago before spring break. This shot is an HDR. I combined the pictures and then added a black and white filter under a sepia filter. I found that it added more color details. I added a brightness and contrast layer as well in order to darken the clouds a little. I think if the clouds were not so blown out in some places it would be a much better shot.

Ben D- The Money Shot

The title of the photo is “The Money Shot” for obvious reasons. I took this in Rigsby’s studio a few days ago when I saw my daily grade plummet quicker than the Soviet Union. I used John Michael’s 6D and his 50mm lens so I could get that quality depth of field. We scrounged up like $17 in ones and took a few tries to fan the moolah all over him, and this shot was the result of one of those throws. I didn’t do much to edit this photo considering the assignment was due in like 8 min and there was no amount of coffee and Red Bull that would get me through this one in time.

Justin H- Lexus RCF

This photo was taken at the Brookwood mall over Spring Break. I immediately thought “Wow, thats a cool car. I need to take photos of it!” I haven’t altered this photo in any way, its straight out of the camera.

Matthew O- Shine

I call this Shine because of the sun on the face and the glow of the hair.
I took it a while back and  have tried editing it before but it was never good until now
I don’t know what I could have done to make it better.

Alex D- Willie B Statue

The title of my image is Willie B statue. It was taken on March 29, 2016 at 10:50 AM at the zoo in Atlanta. It was taken with my Nikon D3100 camera. I didn’t edit this image. It could of been better if i didn’t capture the kid in the photo and i could of zoomed out a little bit. My mom told me when she was little she went to the zoo and she saw this huge gorilla. Then she told me that one day he pounded on the glass window, he broke it and then he escaped. My mom said that he was really old and then he died. But when i went to the zoo there were a lot of gorillas in there including young ones.

Madeline V.- Tik Tok

I took this picture for the black and white assignment at my house with my Nikon D3200 and I really love this photo! I’m not really sure why I like it so much, but I just do. I edited it by putting a gradient map on it and the messing with the levels and the curves and the brightness and the color balance and the vibrance. I really like how the colors turned out in it, and I’m not really sure what I could do differently to make the picture any better.

Hannah S- John LAX

I took this photo when our boys LAX team played Mtn. Brook a couple of weeks age. This is my friend John, and the picture is edited very simply. I really only bombed the contrast and lighting up, and sharpened it just a tad around the stick. Overall really pleased with this picture!

Nick A - Promenade

This photo is called “Promenade” because it was taken on prom night at our group photos. It was taken around 5:45 in the perfect lighting with a Canon EOS 7D. I edited a little bit by warming up the background by adding a little bit of yellow light and also adjusting the lighting. Overall, I was very happy with the result.

Zohra P- Black&White1

This picture was taken at Ross Bridge trail, It is a HDR picture that I turned into black and white. I  have not edited this picture at all. I combined the images, chose the black and effect and here it is!

Kate M- Cierah

I took this picture with my Canon Rebel t3 at my friend’s hunting lodge a couple of weeks ago. This is a picture of my friend Cierah standing on a rock above me. I really liked how the clouds looked so I darkened them and added some pink and blue photo filters. I also used the dodge and burn tools a lot and they gave her sort of a glow and darkened the clouds. And I used the stamp tool to adjust how the trees in the background look.

Grace C- Sunset

I took this at Railroad Park at sunset. I love this image. The tones and the water in the back is aesthetically pleasing to me. I wouldn't change anything about this image.

Davis D- Spring Break Favorite

This was one of my favorite pics from over the break. This was taken towards sunset one afternoon and I really like how it turned out. The colors are very vibrant and the depth of field in the foreground is a nice touch. The weather was perfect that day and I believe this photo represents that well. I took this with a Canon 7d mark ii with a 135mm f/2 lens. Overall I am pleased how this photo turned out.

Zoey E.- After the Rain

This is an image I took about a week before Spring Break. I took it in my front yard during the middle of the day. I made it an HDR image, adjusted the saturation, and adjusted the exposure.

Grace H- Window 2

I took this image at a museum over Spring break using my canon t3i. My camera was on manual mode when I took this image. I did not edit this picture a lot. I just edited it in photoshop and did the basics. What made the sky windows very blue was the adjustment on the highlights and shadows.

Kristin S- Beauty and the Beast

I took this picture with my canon xs. I edited it by messing with the contrast and brightness. I added some more pink in the flower. I cloned out a small mistake I made with the makeup itself.

Jakelyn R- Untitled

I took this image a while back at the beginning of January. I took this with my Canon EOS 60D. I edited it by turned up the saturation a little and making the sky more pink-ish. This could be better in a lot of different ways but I personally like it the way it is

BellaM- Laying in an Eno

This photo was taken at the preserve laying in an eno about a week ago with a Canon rebel t3i. I made this photo HDR and put it in black and white to add contrast and detail. This could be better if there was more detail in the trees.

Sabrina S- Grand Canyon Pan 2

This pan was taken of the Grand Canyon- I used my 50 mm I went here for spring break.

Sara W- Untitled 11

I took this picture for the black and white assignment. I didn’t like the composition so i cropped it and added a slight blur to make it a little more interesting. For what it is i think it turned out ok.

Crossan R-Hands & Jewelry

I took this picture in the studio with Big Rig’s Pentax and some studio lighting. I also used a gold reflector to bring in some light on the left side of the hands. I like how the picture has a lot of detail and the texture of the hands. Can’t really think of anything I could do to make this better.

Tizoc-J Sky

I took this photo behind target for the panorama project using my canon t5 with the standard kit lens. I don’t really remember what i did to edit it. I think all i did was mess with the contrast and rightness.
