Chris C - Flower Boy
I named this picture Flower Boy I took this photo with one of my good friends. Using my T2i i capture him facing the wrong direction so i had to do a bunch of editing to get the photo to look just right. I think this would be better i i kind of washed the contrast out a little and took the saturation down a tad.
Logan M- "The Hills"
I chose “The Hills” because it is one my most challenging and fun edits. I used a combination of blended and blurred layers, soft light laters, and color layers in this composite piece. The model and the background were shot on separate days, but under all the same conditions and settings. I used f2.8, 1/320 s shutter speed, and 200iso for these shots. It took about 20 layers in Photoshop.
Madeline V.- Running Away
The title of this picture is, Running Away, and I took it in the preserve across from the town hall and I took it a couple of weeks ago when I was doing pictures for the story illustration assignment. I took it with my Nikon D3200 and I don’t really think I could do anything else to edit it to make it look better except for maybe taking out the road. I edited this picture by adjusting the brightness and contrast some and messing with the saturation a little bit.

Zohra P- Sunlight
This picture was taken by my iPhone, I edited this a little by giving it more light under the clouds so, it looks cool. Other than that I didn’t do anything because I also wanted it to look like a natural picture. Lastly, I would like to change the car window reflection if I could.
Alex D- BAMA
The title of my image is the spell out letters on the field. It was taken in Tuscaloosa, Alabama on October 18, 2014 at 2:24 PM. It was taken with my iPhone 4 I didn’t edit the image. The only thing i don’t like about the image is that I didn’t want to capture the people in front of me in the photo.
Grace H- Glitter Shoes
i took this photo a few weeks ago outside Hoover High School. I saw glitter on the ground so I wanted to take a few pictures of it. I used my canon t3i and edited this photo using photoshop. In photoshop I adjusted the vibrance and brightness. I also darkened the background and lightened my shoes. I wish this photo didn’t turn out as blurry as it did but overall I like how it turned out.

Justin C- Guitar
This picture is a picture that I took of my guitar. I took it with my D3300. I edited it by lowering contrast, lowering vibrance, and lowering the saturation. The slight blur was intentional however I think it would have been better without it.
Jakelyn R - Hands
I took this picture before i even knew about the hands assignment, but i really love this picture. I took this by downtown Helena railroad. I took this a Canon EOS 60D. I was taking some senior pictures for my friend and she almost fell over and got her hands dirty by the material. For this image it came out really detailed and so what i did was darken it a little bit ad sharpened it a little as well so more details could show. I feel like this could be a lot better if she had a white skirt instead of a black one and i believe that would change the mood of the picture.

Evan F - Kenny
I took this picture of my friend Kenny the other day. We were downtown and he asked me to take a side profile picture of him. I bumped up the saturation and changed the lighting. I also smoothed his skin. I think this image turned out pretty well.
Zoey E.- Silhouette
I took this photo for the hands and feet assignment in Advanced digital photography. I really liked this image because of the angle of the legs. As for editing, I adjusted the highlights, shadows, contrast, saturation, and brightness. I used my Canon SX160 IS and I took on a Saturday in front of my window while my feet were up.
Lupita G - Paper Towns
I did this for the photography project we had. I brought her from another picture into a borrowed image. I posterized her image.
MATTHEW O- Rawr
I call it RAWR because it has a tiger in it and tigers go RAWR. I took this at the Birmingham Zoo, and I took it with a Nikon D5200. I love the colors because its a warm calm mix of green. I couldn’t have made this photo better; i love it.

Sabrina S- Flowers and Toes
Trying out different ideas for the hands and feet project I came up with this.
I took it with my Cannon T5 with the standard lens 18-55 mm. The only things that I edited on this was the saturation and the contrast.

Nick A - Meredith
This Photo is called,”Meredith,” because the name, Meredith, was written in stickers underneath the rear wing. The photo was taken around 1:00a.m at the Ross Bridge hotel. It was taken with a Canon 7D and it was edited by a lot of shadow and brightness adjustments. If I were to shoot it again, I would have focused on working around the reflection of the car in the bottom right portion of the fender.

Kate M.-Train Wreck
The title of this photo is Train Wreck, because there’s a lot going on in the image and one picture I used was of a train. I took all the picture with my canon rebel t3. I started with the main picture of the girl at the pond, then I added a picture of a door looking onto an overgrown yard and cut that around her jacket. The pink glitter is actually 2 pictures of light reflecting on water. These pictures are on different settings and you can see the split down the middle. The last picture I added was an old train that I added blur to so that it would look like it’s moving.

Kristin S- Model Status
I took this picture with my cannon xs. I took it while goofing off with a couple of friends I had helping me with my story project. I edited this by bringing up the contrast and painting over the entire thing with black and then taking the eraser and going over it very lightly until i got what i wanted.
Jeremy L- Vines
Vines- I took this picture a few months ago, after a rain shower. It embodies simplicity; simple plant, black and white, natural. I took it with my 5100 that was set to shoot in black and white, the the only editing was a slight increase in contrast and slight decrease in brightness. It’s nothing special, at all, but that is part of what I like about it.

Justin H- Play Time
I have named this photo Play Time, because Matt told me to. It was taken using a 50mm prime and my Nikon, later in the day.
Chris C- Cherry Blosssom
I think i’m going to do some sort of composite with images having to do with crazy people and weird things for like an album for Genesis.

Grace C- Train
This photo is called “Train.” I drained the saturation, added noise, and lowered the exposure slightly. I used the healing tool to remove the stop sign as well as some unwanted markers on the tracks.
Ben D- Dive
The title of this image is “Dive”. I took this photo a couple of weeks ago at an abandoned country club. I took this with a canon t5i with a wide angle lens. I ran the photo through VSCO and that’s about it when it comes to editing.

Sara W- Cameras
The name of this photo is cameras. i used a nikon d300. I took this a week ago and i used pink paper for the background. i shot this from above it and then cropped it. i also changed the color of the background. i think it turned out well.
Justin C. - Film
This photo is 3 different photos put together all taken with my D3300. Edited together using photoshop with minor editing to saturation and levels as well.
Lighter
I named this photo “Lighter” because i didn’t know what else to call it.
I took this picture with my canon T5 in the middle of the night, to edit it i played around with the saturation and vibrance as well as reduced some noise.

John Michael A - Looking Up
This photo is titled Looking Up. I took this close-up with my Canon T3i on 8/18/15 in my backyard at around noon. I edited it in Photoshop, enhancing the contrast and vibrance, reducing the brightness and exposure, and adding a lens flare filter. I like this photo/ wouldn’t change it in any major way.
Zohra P- Blue Flower
This picture was taken before summer in my community. I took this picture with my Sony cyber shot camera. I edited this by putting in a lot of vibrance, I also changed the flowers color from pink to blue. I wanted to give it a under water look. I also put in a lot of exposure to make it’s color pop. Lastly I like the picture the way it is.

Nick A - Wells Fargo
The title of the image is “Wells Fargo,” because it was taken in downtown Birmingham around 7:00. The photo was taken around 7:00 with a Canon 7D. I darkened the sky using a combination of the burn tool and curves because it was too blow out. It could be better by degraining the sky a little bit, but most of that comes from the burn tool.
Kristin S- Pop of Color
This picture was taken sometime in July at bluff park playground. It was taken with my cannon rebel xs. To edit this I adjusted the brightness and contrast and put a black and white layer over it. Then put the color back into it where my friend is. This picture could be better if it had been taken at a different time in the dy where the sun wasn’t so direct.

Zoey E.- Sunlight
I took this picture over the summer when I drove to a lake near my house. I made the image black and white and adjusted the contrast a little. In my opinion, I thought this was a pretty good picture because the sunlight hits the leaves of the trees in a really cool way.
Logan M- Sorry Nick
I took this shot at the beginning of the summer vacation at Birmingham Cars and Coffee. I took it with my Nikon D5100 and my sigma 18-200 lens. It was on a moderate aperture and about 1/2000s shutter speed. I only did minor lighting tweaks to adjust the reflection on the Ferrari Enzo. This is nearly identical to the in camera shot.
Jakelyn R - Walking Poetry
I titled this picture “Walking Poetry” . This picture was taken over a month ago in Jupiter, Florida. It was taken with my Canon EOS 60D. I edited this image in photoshop i turned down the brightness, played with the Levels and Curves. I also played with the selective color to give more of a peachy color to the sunrise in the back. I feel like this could be better if i was closer to the first footprint so it would be even more focused on it.
Matthew O- Spooky Black
I call this image “Spooky Black” because it’s a gloomy photo and the rapper spooky black reminds me of this weather ;) I took it from my back deck on Thursday morning at 5:30. I took it with my Nikon D5200 using the standard 18-55mm lens. I edited it by adding a glow filter and adjusting saturation. It could have been better had I used a tripod, perhaps i could have used a slower shutter and had more stability. I love the colorrrrrrssssssssssssssss

Madeline V.- Pipes in Savannah
This is a picture of some pipes and I took it in Savannah, Georgia during the summer. I took this picture with my Nikon D3200 andI edited it by adding a bunch of contrast and turning the vibrate up and the saturation down. This picture could be so much better if I took more time to edit it.
Grace C- Michael W. Smith
I took this picture at the Greater Birmingham Festival of Hope. This was when Michael W. Smith was on stage. I used the artificial lighting source from the stage lights. I shot in manual mode on my Canon Rebel XSi with a shutter speed of 1/40, an f-stop of 5.6, and an ISO of 200.
Chris C- Grounded
I titled this image “Grounded”. I took this with my Canon t2i and i used the curves to edit it and give it a slight matte effect and then cropped in to make the photo a little more proportional.
Brody G- Cars and Coffee
The title of this image is Cars and Coffee. I took this at cars and coffee one morning this past summer, I took this with my canon t3i with a 50mm f/1.8 lens. I edited it by making out the driver and sharpening in a little bit. It could be better if I took a little bit more time to take out the driver.
