Hope W.- Street Lamp

The title of the selected image is “Street Lamp”. It was taken for the architecture on Morris Avenue downtown. It was taken with my Canon Powershot. I edited it by adjusting the levels, curves, and bumped up the saturation. I like this picture and I don’t think it could be any better!

Robert C - Kara

This is a picture I took of my friend Kara. I took this sunday downtown at Morris Ave. This was taken as a fun experimental picture and it payed off! I uploaded it to my computer and was surprised how well it turned out. I wouldn’t change anything about this picture.

Shelby A- Leaves

The title of this image is Leaves. This picture was taken in my backyard and its of a mop bucket that spins.I feel it could be better if the background was more clear. I edited it by brightening it up.

Hannah S- Lake

This image is titled Lake, it was taken at Lake Weiss late afternoon. Editing wise I did very little, I only raised the red hues and lightened the trees a little bit. The reflection of the clouds was already great so I did not fix it any. Overall I’m very pleased with this image.

Jack L- Mezzotint

This photo is titled “Mezzotint” due to the filter i put on it. I usually don’t put filters on my photos but i found this one and just thought it looked cool. Thats all i have to say about that.

John Michael A - Kukri

This image is titled Kukri. I shot this image of my kukri machete in a piece of wood for the low key assignment. I photographed it with my Canon T3i. I added several filters and slightly adjusted the exposure, contrast, and darkness. I love the detail of the wood and the blade.

Meredith V - Metal

This image is entitled “Metal”. I took this on a Sunday afternoon of the gear on my old basketball goal. I edited this image by cropping in so that it was a close up. I also increased the sharpness as well as the contrast. I boosted the colors, but not very dramatically. I think this image could be better if it was taken at a straighter angle.

Ashley G- Colored Children

This photo is called Colored Children. It was taken at my grandmother’s house. This was taken with my Canon Rebel t3. When I was editing this photo, I colored over the statue with different colors instead of keeping it all white. It could be better if the background was different.

Anna Kathryn D- Wait

This was taken over winter break, right after sunset. It was taken with a Canon Rebel T5. I edited it by using the band aid tool to remove some bokehed lights in the background and converting it to black and white, Then i brightened it some. It could be better if she had more light reflected on her face. This was a fun shoot for me because it was the first time shooting with my new camera.

Mason L - Downtown Composite

This image is a composite of 4 different pictures. The most dominant image is a double exposure I took of my friend Kenny and some buildings. The second image is on the outer edge of his silhouette and it is of acrylic paint and dish soap mixed together dropped in a fish tank to look like colorful cloudy smoke. The 3rd is a building panorama that I placed inside the silhouette. The 4th image is of Kenny skateboarding that is also inside the silhouette and is made to look natural and as if it is in the 3rd image that I placed inside the silhouette.

IsaacE- Dragonfly

The title of this is Dragonfly, for the obvious reason. I took this at ross bridge in early fall. The dragonfly kept flying around, and made it very difficult to get a good picture. The difficulty of getting the shot makes this picture all the more satisfying. Overall, i would not change the picture any more.

Robert C - James

This is a picture of my brother, James. We were out exploring Helena and came across some cool railroad track going through a ravine. I thought it was a cool shot so i took it. Overall this picture turned out very good. I wouldn’t change anything.

Rebecca G- White Flower

I took this picture at my Aunt’s house of the high and low key assignment. I took it with my digital nikon camera. I edited it by adjusting the brightness, hue and saturation, color balance and vibrance. I adjusted the exposure of the camera before I took the picture so that it had a high key effect. I adjusted the exposure some more when I edited the picture in photoshop. I wish that the picture was a little more clear.
