I put this picture together for a composite project this semester. I also took a picture of my friend Morgan Anns hands on a tree for a completely different assignment. I First added some brightness to put of the pictures, separately. I then combined the two and took out some thing out of the door frame of the base picture and removed some of the forefront picture.

Emily B- Potion
I took this picture for the HDR assignment. This is the bottom of a coke bottle just tilted so that the light created a reddish color. After I put the HDR together, I just boosted the contrast and saturation a little bit. I really liked how this turned out!
Shelby C- B&W Bridge
I took this picture over spring break while I was in Chattanooga. I made the alleyway black and white, and then I brightened up and sharpened the bridge and the houses outside the alleyway. I love the way this looks and how the color draws your eye in.
Tripp S- Tristan
I took this photo at the Vestavia Hills Relay for Life concert a few weeks ago. The subject is Tristan a friend of mine who is a singer and guitar player in his friends band, Zebras Galore. I am very happy with how this edit came out, the lighting was a bit of a challenge simply becasue the ambient light was fading and the stage lights were very yellow tungsten. I managed it by lowering the blue color of the background in Lightroom.
Yesenia S - ‘What are you doing?’
This picture was taken for the HDR assignment. I took this picture in Birmingham on an apartment complex. All the apartments in the area were burned, doors were open and you could see all the damage inside. While taking pictures a little girl driving around her bicycle came up to me and asked me what I was doing and I told her taking pictures for a school photography project. She stared at me into the eyes and just began crying, before I asked what was wrong she drove away.
I do think I probably over edited this HDR but overall the story behind it I think is what makes this image more powerful.

Amelia S- Violin
I took this photo for one of our challenge assignments. I chose this challenge because I liked some of the other examples of the other instruments. It was taken as an HDR photo in the studio. This is my favorite of all the photos because of the details and the colors in it. I also like how shiny the violin looks.

Victoria D- Central Park
I took this picture in Central Park when i went to new york. Outside of the city in central park the number of people decreases. I like this picture because there is a faint outline of one man walking dragging his brief case and to me that kinda resembles New York City. I edited this picture by lightening and darkening certain areas to make them stand out more and played with the levels and curves in the photo.
Stephanie P- Composite
I made this picture for the composite assignment. I used a picture that I took for the high and low assignment and one that I took for HDR. I really like how this picture turned out.
Lakeshia B- Believe
I took three differnt image that I really liked and blend them with the blending moods. I was really happy that I got it to flow and with out harsh lines. I like the contrast of color just wish there wan’t so much green. I really happy with how it all come out.
Haley Y- Fan
I took this picture for the black and white assignment. I found this old fan in my basement I liked how it had a bunch of dust on it. To edit it I made a color layer and colored it brown. Then I made the background more clear. I really liked how this picture turned out.

Maia S- Stella Bug
i took this photo in Kentucky when we when up after christmas for my cousins graduation. my baby second cousin and my three year old cousin were playing and i happen to get this photo when she stopped moving. i tried to use it for the black and white assignment but i liked it better with the pink in color.
Samantha D- High key 2
I took this photo for the Low/High key assignment for this year. To edit this, I adjusted the contrast and exposure. I wish some parts were a little more clear but overall i like the white of the pearls with the white of the backdrop.
Tripp S- Composite Animation
This is both a composite and animation that I completed just in time to turn in for the composite assignment. This gif is a layered animation featuring a headshot of a number of girls in first period being displayed one by one (one per frame) over a layered version of all of them wight their eyes aligned. Other than the animation and pixel count adjustment I did while converting the animation to .gif format all I did edition wise was align the images, make some minor scaling adjustments to each shot, adjust the curves on each shot and finally converting to black and white. Overall I like the finished product especially since I can lower the pixel count making the merging of the faces more apparent.

Emily W- Composite Metal
I did this for the composite assignment. I combined a flower, engine, and architecture. I added filters to the layers and adjusted the opacity. I thought it turned out pretty nicely…
Catherine S- Amidst the Destruction
This image was taken with my macro lens in the front yard of an abandoned house. I decided to take this picture because it was a contrast of life amidst the destruction of the property. I edited this by adding vibrance, then decreasing the saturation. I added a black and white layer, but lowered the opacity so that it would look a little bit grungy. I also edited the basic brightness and contrast. I wish there wasn’t a strand of my hair to the right side of the picture, but I like how it turned out.
Ashley V- Rolling Storm Cabin
This picture was taken in Bluff Park at the Elementary school garden. I used the black and white filtration and added some sharpness. I removed some bags from the front of the storage cabin. But I really liked how the filter added distinct clouds in the sky which I thought was great for the photo because I was afraid that by using this photo as a black and white it would take away from the thunder rolling in the sky but it actually made it looked better.

Amelia S- Restaurant by the Railroad Tracks
I took this photo for the HDR assignment and loved how it turned out. I took this in Old Town Helena at a restaurant by the railroad tracks. I love the rustic and antique look that is given off in the photo. I put all three images I took in Photomatix Pro and chose which filter I liked best. I then edited it in Photoshop, but not a lot. I retouched a few things and adjusted the levels, curves, and sharpness but that was about it. It turned out to be one of my favorite pictures I took for the HDR assignment.
Alex E- Country Roads
I took this photo when I was out taking pictures in Bessemer. I really like how the road seems to keep going. I also like the structure of the trees in the picture. I edited this with brightness/contrasting tools, color balance to have a cooler blue color, and sharpened it a little.
