I made this picture because I finished my project and didn’t have anything to do. I was looking at my pictures from New York and found this picture. I started editing it and made it black and white and added some noise. It’s foggy and looked kind of old, almost like Vampire Weekend’s newest album cover. I kept making it look old and simple and then looked up what fonts Vampire Weekend used for their cover. I put in the text and then adjusted them. I couldn’t get the band title to match perfectly, but it’s close. I also added “Pt. Two” to the album title because this is my take on the album. I really like how this turned out. This could be my favorite picture I’ve made yet.

Yesenia S - Nature Silhouette
This picture was taken for the Composite Image assignment to be combined with other images but I just liked how this one turned out. I took this picture a Thursday evening when the sky looked bright and beautiful. I edited it by adjusting the Selective Levels, Exposure, and Color Balance. I really liked how this nature silhouette turned out. (:
Abbey W- Will
I took this picture of Will in the studio and made a composite of it. I really like how it turned out because it made it look like his face had scratches and stuff. I love the colors and the rustyness of this photo. i also changed his eye color. Overall i like this photo and thought it looked cool.

Jenna O - Float On
I took some of these pictures in New York. I overlaid two pictures onto the base. I also added a blue filter to boost the white contrast against the black balloons. I only faded the balloon picture to bring back the other. I love how this picture turned out and the depth it creates.

Mary L- Sunshine and Rain
This picture was made for the composite assignment. All the pictures though were for last assignments. I did a background of a flower and then the next layer was of leaves with the opacity turned down and the subtract filter. The last layer was of water droplets and had the hard light filter on it. I love composites and this was one of my favorites of this year. I liked how it turned out.

Mariah M- Leffert Boys
This picture is of the Leffert family boys. I took their family pictures last minute and in the middle of the week. The shots were so hard to get because of the weather, more with the girls than with the guys. This is one of the only pictures that the littlest boy is smiling in. It turned out pretty good in my opinion!
Shelby C- Headstine HDR
I took these over the weekend at an old graveyard, This is an HDR. I love how creepy this looks with the old rusty fence around it. I edited this picture by brightening the contrast and cropping it in a little.

Maia S- Alex
i selected everything but Alex, the stick, and the torch and turned down the contrast and that is all i did to it. i wish had cleaned up the edges of his hair but over all i am happy.
Haley Y- Backyard Snow
I took this picture when we got out school for the snow. I was stuck at friends house and they had such of a pretty backyard. This picture was was for the panorama assignment. I thought that all the pictures lined up nicely. To edit this I used photo merged then adjusted the levels, brightness, and contrasted and I also had to use the clone tool.
Mariah M- Mackenzie
This picture is of my little sister. We went down the trail in ross bridge, and this little creek was just perfect for pictures. To edit this, all i did was the yellow boost to make the colors look a little better. The weather worked out in our favor that day, so it made the pictures turn out good.

Ashley V- Step Up Pinpoint
This picture I took in downtown Birmingham next to Regions Field. I used it as an architecture picture. Its a composite image of a ceiling cover up at the Ross Bridge Hotel Pool. I added some contrast and vibrance to the image and did some cropping and removing some of the excess picture. I thought it looked really good!
Shelby C- Metal
I took this picture at a state park, for the Black & White assignment. I love the rustic look of this, and i edited this by brightening the contrast and then making it Black & White.

Tripp S- Stereoscope
This is a test of a neat effect Ive been researching for a little over two weeks now, its the process of using photoshop to create gifs animating stereoscopic images. Stereoscopes reached their popularity in the late 20’s and were basically 3d pictures that would be printed on slides and viewed with stereoscope viewers, the two images which were basically same and only offset by an inch or so combined with a mirror system in the viewer would create the illusion of a 3d image. This process still exists today with the Holga Camera company making a two lensed camera and stereoscope like viewer. The problem with all of this is that short of carrying around a box of slides and a viewer there is no way to share this amazing photos, the only way I have seen is by animating them using this process.

Victoria D- Friends Barn
I took this panorama at my friends barn. I decided to get inside this circular gate for the horses and shoot from there. I like how it turned out with the photo focusing on the barn as a whole and the horses on the side. I edited it by darkening and lightening certain areas to make them stand out more. I also put a layer of HDR toning onto of the original picture to add more depth to the image.

Stephanie P- Books HDR
I took this picture for the HDR project this 9 weeks. I really like how it turned out. I didn’t have a tripod so i used a table to keep the camera in the same place. Them I edited in Photomatix Pro. I really like how it turned out the books have a lot of detail.

Samantha D- Stables
This is an old composite i did last year when i took photos at Oak Mountain Stables. I boosted the contrast on both photos and made the horse picture be dominate over the barn picture. I like the different shades of brown and red myself but wish that the green at the bottom was not as vibrant.
Lakeshia B- Dark Path
I took this photo for the HDR assignment, I was really happy wit how it come out. Using photomatix I brought out the detail and gave it a darker feel. I also changed the lighting and contrast.

Morgan Ann C- Murder In The Night
I took this picture last night because I liked how the light was coming off of my iPad. I just lowered the exposer to the lowest it would go to make sure the camera wouldn’t try to take in any unneeded light. I really like the angle and the shadows it made.

Tripp S- 2 Miles High
This was a panorama I took in Colorado during a family ski trip I went on in mid February. As the title suggests these images were taken two miles high (over 11,000 feet!), we had driven to the top on snow mobiles and stopped long enough to take some pictures. I am very happy with how the stitch came out, the only editing I did besides that was vibrance increase paired with some saturation reduction and a shadow and highlight adjustments to balance out the bright white snow and the dark green trees.
