Emily B- MGMT

This is another one of my composites. I took pictures from the lake: a leaf, the lake. and the trees around the lake. I messed with the levels and boosted the contrast and saturation. I love how crazy it looks!

Samantha D- Remembrance

I took these photos when i visited Washington D.C over the summer. One picture is from Arlington Cemetery and the other is the Vietnam Veterans Memorial Wall. I created a composite image and adjusted the color and added a grainy effect to part of the wall to make the face of the soldier marching look older.

Tripp S- Flowers

This photo was taken as part of the high and low key assignment but came out as a very nice full tonal range image. The black and white was not so much as artistic choice but a correction I used to compensate for the color fringing caused by the FD mount lens I used. I edited this image obviously by converting to black and white and using the color channels to give the different parts of the flower their own individual shade. Also the contrast was increased and the noise was slightly reduced.

Emily W- Low Key Portrait

I took this picture for the High and Low Key assignment. I desaturated the image and adjusted the levels, brightness, contrast and the shadows/highlights. I am really proud of this low key image. I think it turned out wonderfu

Will C- Hand

I guess I'll name this picture hand, because I'm not creative enough to come up with a name. I took this picture in Tampa, Florida this summer. I picked up this shell and snapped a picture with my hand and it turned out good. I selected my hand to desaturate it, increased saturation on the shell, and painted the hand to try and match the tones.

Yesenia S - Low Key

This picture was take in the photography studio and used for the High & Low Key assignment. I edited this photo by blurring the image to make her skin look smooth and soft. I also changed Catherine's eye color and adjusting the levels. Overall, I liked how this image turned out.

Catherine S- Toe Shoes

This picture was taken in the digital photography studio. I edited this image by overlaying a desaturated layer and adjusting the opacity. I also played with the curves and levels. It is slightly desaturated and has increased contrast. I like how this image turned out.

Abbey W- Spare Tire

This photo was taken in my drive way of my spare tire. I propped it up against the fence with my car lights facing it so i wouldn't have to use a flash. Its a low key image. I love how the final thing turned out.  I added filters, duplicated the background and changed the blending modes a couple of times. I also bumped up the saturation. I wish it had more rainbow colors than some of the oranges and browns but overall i like it.

Mary L- High Key

This is a picture from the high key and low key assignment. I used the studio backdrop and lighting to take this. In photoshop i adjusted the shadows and highlights and also adjusted the curve. I really like how this picture turned out.

Ashley V- Railroad Park

This Picture is from Railroad Park and i enhanced the color and cropped it. Thats about all I did. The things i would to change it is remove all the shadowing.

Mary L- Fields of Color

I took this picture last year for the composite assignment. I like this because I normally don't like to put crazy colors together so it was different for me. I had a picture of my horse in a field, and also some glass balls. I changed the color of the glass and also adjusted the curves. I really like how this picture turned out.

Stephanie P- Tower Camera

I did this picture for the site image assignment. i edited the color to make the blacks darker and the whites more pure. I also added the text over the image. I really like this picture because i used the rule of thirds in a different way than usual.

Lakeshia B- Pineapple Camera

I used this picture for my five images for the site image. I change it from what i turned in i made in black and white. I cleaned up the camera by painting over i with dark brown. Then moved the pineapple in the lens. I am really happy with how it come out.

Haley Y- Video Camera

I took this picture on my back porch. This is is a photograph of a old video camera. To edit this image i made it black and white. I also made some adjustments to the curves. Then i painted a little bit of black to smooth out the edges  on the top part.

Maia S- Harper

I made this for the story illustrate project but used a different one. I like it too much  to use it for something.

Emily B- No Ordinary Sunset

This is one of my favorite composites that I've done so far. I had a picture of a vine covered wall at my grandparents house and a picture of the sunset from Tip Top. I layered the sunset over the  vine covered wall and played with the layer options and increased the contrast a good bit. I love all of the color variations and how it goes from bright to dark from top to bottom. I wouldn't change anything about this picture, I really like how it turned out.

Mariah M- Catherine

This picture I took of catherine for the Movie Illustration project. This picture was taken in the court yard, and to edit it I cropped it, made the back ground black and white, messed with the color adjustments and added color back to Catherine. One thing I think could be better is the blue tint in her hair; Im not sure how it got there and looking at all the outside pictures, her hair was blue.

Jenna O - Shadow

I took Shadow over the summer in Pennsylvania. I boosted the exposure and blurred the background. I added a little bit of saturation as well. This cat was trying to catch his shadow in the sunlight. I like the angle of the picture and how the cat is in focus.

Morgan Ann C- The Preserve

I took this picture over summer break of the building in The Preserve. I combined them to make an  HDR picture. I burned and dodged some areas and applied Curves, but that is about all.

Yesenia S- California Bound

This is a picture of California. I took it from the airplane I was traveling on with my Canon camera. I edited this photo by adjusting the Selective Colors and Levels. I also adjusted the coloring and lightning for it to turn out how it did. Overall, I think it looks good.

Tripp S- Neal on Pier

This image was taken in Gulf Shore and is of my cousin Neal. From a mechanics standpoint I feel this image is a good example of leading lines guiding the eye towards a subject. In this image the railing as well as the fishing pole (which is near parallel with the horizon) guide the eye to my subject.

Victoria D- Lost and Found

I took this picture while looking through an art gallery place in the back they just had a punch of scrap cars so i snook out the back and went to take pictures of them.  I edited this photo by boosting the color to make the sky more blue and the sky more blue. I also cloned out some stuff and sharpened the picture. I love this picture just because of  the old antique feel.

Samantha D- Guy at the Armory

I took this photo of a guy at the armory in Springville. I sharpened the image, boosted the contrast, adjusted the saturation and exposure, and added highlights to bring out all the details in the side of the face.

Catherine S- Still Motion Blur

I took this picture in the digital photography studio. I added a motion blur layer on top of the original image. I also added vibrance, and saturation. I adjusted the brightness and I like how it ended up coming out.

Amelia S- Photo Gear

I took this photo for the class website assignment. I didn't end up using it, but I really like it. I like how sharp the colors are. I didn't edit it much I just edited the shadows and highlights. If I could do something different I would include the point and shoot camera on the tripod in the frame. I took this photo at a park on Lakeshore. I have others that include the pond in the frame.

Alex E- Preserve

I took this picture when I was walking around the Preserve. I added Brightness/ Contrast to the picture as well with color balance. I only added curves to the background of the photo. I also sharpened the picture a little so the detail in the flower could be seen.

Will C- Roadkill

The name of this picture is Roadkill. It's of a book my brother Rob made. The book is made of a squirrel hyde, which he hand dyed and bound to the papers. I took this for him so he could document his bookmaking. I like the composition of the book itself, with the tail wrapping around the front. I tried to keep the natural tones because he wanted it to be as close to life as possible. I think it turned out pretty well, but if I could change something, it would be that the top right piece of hyde that is hanging in front of the pages didn't have so much light on them.
