I took this picture in Montevallo this past spring. I took it in color then made it black and white. I also cropped it a bit to make the tree more obvious as the subject. 

Rachel E- Watery Reflections

This is a composite image of the center design of my patio table and red leaf with water droplets on top. I edited the center of the patio picture with curves and color balance using magenta. I edited the red leaf with water droplets using the darker setting in the curves layer. I took these pictures on my patio after a rainy day about two weeks ago.

I took this photo at a place on 280 about 3 weeks ago.  I really like all the colors in this shot and the different levels.  I edited this photo by playing with shadows and highlights and boosting up the saturation.

I toke this photo at the lake with my family at my brothers birthday. i toke a tripod and set it up and told everyone to get in a certain stop and then toke it and ran in to the photo. I blurred the background in my edits.

I took this picture last year for a macro project. I really love the reflection of the is picture and the detail of it. The only changes I made was make it black ad white and added highlights to it.

This picture was taken in my back yard a few weeks ago when we were doing the site image assignment. The background image is the camera laying in the grass and I used a second layer of an image of a sunset. I blended it in making it look cool and yellowey looking in some places. I also adjusted the levels, green levels and exposure.

I took this picture last year for one of the projects. I really love the shape, silhouette, and shadows in this picture. The changes I made to this picture was making it black and white and changing the contrast and highlights.

I took this picture with my Canon Rebel xs with the studio lighting. To edit it I added warmth and a couple of layers and textures in Photoshop. I like the colors and texture.

This is a picture I took of the bushes after it rained Saturday morning. I took this picture outside and edited it by increasing the hue and saturation, and decreasing the contrast a little bit.

I took this picture over the summer at a fair in Ohio, I really like all the different the colors in it and how the spinning ride is moving but everything else is still. So yeah, I think it turned out pretty nice!

This is a picture of my friend Shannon's gecko eating his food out of a water bottle cap. I took this picture this past weekend with my iPhone. To edit it, I put a black and white mask on it and messed with the levels. I think this picture would be better if it wasn't so grainy, but I like the picture nevertheless.

Rachel E- Lava on the Shore

I took this picture when I was at the pier at the Mobile Bay. While I was across the pier with my dad I paused and took a picture of the shore below us. I used the linear burn layer, a darken layer, warming filters and messed with the color balance. I love how the water looks like molten lava and slowly blends into a light orange color on the sand.

I took this picture in Montevallo last spring. I liked the way the tree looked, the shape of it and the names carved in it. The tree has a lot of character. To edit it I made it black and white and then changed the color levels.

I took this photo in my grandparent's backyard last year. I just used the sunlight because it was mid afternoon. I edited it by desaturating it and then using a mask to show a little bit of the color in the flower.  I wish the whole flower was in focus though.
